We live in London, what nice Christmassy things should I book for preteens? Already got Kew booked!

Just one or two sweet things would be great!

What about some ice skating? I assume they are in this year but Hampton court palace, Somerset house and the natural history museum have all had outdoor ice rinks around Xmas time.
or a trip to see A Christmas Carol - maybe isn’t classed as “sweet” but there are some excellent productions of this!

I was thinking about taking mine to Camden or borough market to try all the viral food and then a walk around regent street area to see the lights and Hamley’s. You could also do the dreaded winter wonderland if you’re in that area. Last time we went earlyish and it wasn’t too busy. What about a panto or a Christmassy theatre show. Youve got all the best ones on your doorstep in London. Or you can book to watch Christmas movies with live orchestras (I’ve seen they do it with home alone and the muppets Christmas carol) 🎄

Go see the snowman at the peacock theatre, then take a bus from aldwych to regent street so you can see the lights and go to Hamleys and Liberty's Christmas department (and maybe choose an ornament each for the tree).

The National Theatre Christmas show has always been wonderful for us. I have to say we had the most fun at Ben Hur at the Kilburn Theatre a few years ago but it was obviously a much smaller budget.

I would go to see the Snowman at the Peacock theatre.

London Open-Topped Bus Tour - you see the lights and there's a commentary about the history .
So much easier to admire them rather than getting jostled in the street if you stand still .

Go for breakfast . My DC loved this . DS is not a foodie , even now he doesn;t enjoy going out to eat but he'll partake in a Wetherspoons . .
Borough Market gets very busy but some great food stalls

We went to Kew the year it opened . I quite like the look of the Chelsea Hospital Christmas event or Dennis Severs House .

I've been to Winter Wonderland , it gets bigger and busier each year

How much would you do in a day . Are you looking at weekends only .

Oxford Street has the big stores but it is dismal , so many shite shops now . If they made it pedestrian only for a few days it would be fabulous - they did it 15 years ago as a one off .

Dennis Severs House!

A Christmas carol at the old vic is great.
Somerset house skating and Borough market are good shouts.

@Zitouna that looks great, thank you
