ChompSaw? Worth it? Cheaper alternatives?

I've been spammed with these on Instagram. I think my daughter would love it but it's £199.

Does anyone have one? Is it worth it?

Better yet, a good and cheaper alternative?

Good grief that's expensive. My 9yo daughter loves her Makedo tools - it's a pretty blunt hand saw but it works well enough for her.

Wow. That looks like an absolutely wonderful toy, But the price! you can get actual woodworking powertools in Lidl for half that price.

I had a google and the only similar thing I spotted was the Beaverbot, which costs even more.

I'm guessing that a year or so from now there will be a few much cheaper versions, since it is clearly such a brilliant new type of toy.

But if you can afford it, I would go for it.

Wow that price! I have a kid that loves working with cardboard but we just started with Makedo so will stick with that until cheaper version comes out!

The price is nuts. I don't normally spend that much for DD in total let alone for one thing, so I think I'll wait for a cheaper copy to come out, like you say @ProfoundlyPeculiarAndWeird

@cornbunting@Mama383848I'll take a look at Makedo. Thank you!
