I'm so sorry for an annoying Christmas related thread already! But I need recommendations for a Christmas day out with 2 small kids (2 and almost 5) in west Yorkshire.
It's my littlests 2nd birthday on 20th December, and most things you might do as a family are turned into Christmas experiences and Santa's grottos. I'm not opposed to killing two birds making it our proper Christmas day out as my 5 year old will want to see Santa - but everything is extortionate! I'm looking at £130 for all of us. We went to lotherton hall last year which was a decent price (think around £60) but i didn't think that was great. I've had a look at mother shiptons cave which I can't tell if there's not actually much going on there, and we have to be in and out in about 2.5 hours.
We also don't have to see Santa. My youngest won't be bothered and I can take my eldest to the garden centre on a different day to do that if needs be. Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice day out (the less tacky the better) for young kids - to both celebrate a 2nd birthday but also have a nice Christmas day out? I hate being ripped off just cos it's Christmas.
