I certainly don't want an unhinged crab for Christmas Grin

And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

Does anyone know the kids sizing for Netflix shop please? After a Hunter/x tshirt for dd, she normally wears a 13-14 so was leaning towards an XL in kids? Or should I just go for a women’s small? I can’t measure her without raising suspicion and even if I could I still wouldn’t be able to figure out if the tshirt would be big enough!

When I looked into this I realised relaxed fit tshirts we have from womens section of Primark in size XS measured the same as the XL kids size on Netflix if that helps at all? I realise this only helps if you have a Primark XS to hand but thought it was worth a mention!

Looking for a Christmas present for a 6+ months old, they do have an older siblings so will already have hand me down toys. So looking for something different maybe?

Father Christmas bought my nearly 5 month old things for weaning like nice bibs (we loved the Close pop in ones), melamine plates, a sippy cup, cutlery etc. Basically all the stuff we needed to buy anyway.

Hi sorry just popping along to ask if anyone has any advice for some 8/9 year old girls hair accessories ideas? Not sure what sort of thing are in with that age range

I saw this in Hobbycraft the other day - my 8 year old would love it: www.hobbycraft.co.uk/galt-sparkly-scrunchies/6692811000.html

£19.99 for me!

WhyDoesItAlways · 22/09/2025 10:29

Thanks for the netflix shop tip off. Got DS a demon hunters tshirt. Went down to less than £10 from £25 with the discount. The 40% off tshirts automatically applied and I used FORTHEFANS code at checkout which seemed to stack.

Be careful of delivery fees. The first tshirt i tried to buy wanted £14 delivery, the one i got was £5 delivery. From what i can see there's no way to know how much delivery will be until you go through to checkout.

It's showing £19.99 for me. This happens a lot with amazon. Seems to be dynamic pricing so when enough people take advantage of the low price they put it up again fairly quickly.

Me again … just to say that my bank is showing the Riverford purchase as the price I was expecting to pay in pending 🤔 So its a bit confusing, I’ll wait and see what happens and report back. Riverford say free, bank saying £15 pending to be paid to Riverford.

Mine the same - I wonder if Riverford just has a weird way of showing the payment you've made and are just acknowledging that the order has been paid for, when they say "account credit". Mine says the same as yours and I have never used Riverford before so I can't have a credit.

Thank you to @ChristmasJumperz for the Netflix heads up!

I got DS2 a One Piece Hawaiian shirt for £21 plus £5 shipping. He's been reading the manga for about 8 years and h does own a few Hawaiian shirts so it seemed a perfect Christmas present for him.

The list price was £50, but there was 40% shirts plus the FORTHEFANS discount (which you do have to type in, it isn't automatically entered)

The 15% code for a subscribing to their newsletter sadly didn't stack, but a great bargain anyway!

LostMyRubySlippers · 22/09/2025 11:31

Hearst magazines still have good housekeeping on 3 issues for £3. Currently showing as £6.80 on top cash back so if it tracks then you could end up £3.80 in profit!!

I agree with previous suggestions of weaning stuff and bath toys. Something else I found useful around that age or slightly after is a larger hooded towel, you can find some cute ones with animal designs etc

MiTu · 22/09/2025 12:22

I am on the hunt for footsie-type slippers but for wide feet at a size 8. They're for a woman but she prefers a more roomy footsie-style slipper. Men's would be perfectly fine as she doesn't care about feminine design, but I can never seem to find them in men's departments.
