Does anyone know when M&S Xmas food opens?

I thought it was the 1st of September, but every time I look it says “coming soon”, unless I’m looking at the wrong thing or need to clear my cache or something?! I want to pick a good slot you see! 🎄thanks

Ooo I've never got any Christmas food from m&s is there anything particular I need to try? I'm always a bit dissapointed by tescos finest particularly their Desserts.

I've continued to go in every day, but still nada. Bought the gingerbread and white chocolate cookies from the bakery bit, but they were so sickly, I chucked them in the bin. I just want my Spiced gingerbread biscuits. In the meantime, I'm looking at recipes in case I need to make my own.

I note they still don't have the usual light up tins in, excepting a gluten free offering, so I think things are definitely a bit late this year.

Fingers crossed things will start coming in to store soon

@MightyGoldBear chocolate pine cones are delicious. They look fab too on Christmas Day.

I just saw that too and came straight here! I was in M&S today. No Xmas food catalogue yet.

This is the first year I'll be placing an order so I have a few novice questions please! Do the slots get released at a certain time of day, e.g. midnight on the 23rd September or do they just go live at a random point in the day? Is it like Glastonbury with pick up slots on the 23rd/24th December going very quickly? Maybe it depends on the popularity of the store? I live in a very 'sharp-elbowed' middle class part of London so maybe they go more quickly. 😄 God, I'm overthinking this. I need to get out more.

I remember listening to Rob Beckett on the Parenting Hell podcast saying that he orders his Xmas food at M&S and collects it. I'm sure he said something like "leave all the crazy people to do their pick up as soon as the store opens at 8am (with long queues) and chose a slightly later slot like 9am, when it's a bit less frantic.

All slots go live on same day. I always chose first slot on Xmas eve ie 7am ish. It will differ according to where you live obviously but at our M+S 7am is always quiet so I can pick up my order, pop it in car then go back into shop and pick up any last minute items and be home and done by 8am.
It is incredibly well run at our local store, very efficient etc.

I always do mine as soon as I wake up on the day it starts. Have always got a slot and you can edit your order once placed but things do sell out so batter to add and then remove if your not sure.

We missed out on the Santa up chimney last year so hoping that's back this year

We do a small order but it always includes pine cones as that's the main reason for the order as I am never sure if they are in store.

Is it a deposit then pay the rest when you collect? Can you change your items on the order if needed?

Yes to both but remember items do sell out so you can't be sure you can add something if it's popular.

I was looking for this too… Was hoping they would bring out the catalogue before slots open so people know what they want beforehand. I’m new to this haha

The M&S Instagram people said that it'll be out next week but they can't confirm the day yet.

Does anyone know if the M&S tinned chocolates (similar to quality st)are in yet? Our nearest is about 40 mins away so I don't want a wasted journey. Thanks!

They didn't have them in when I was there on Tuesday (just the merry munch tins and Shortbread tins) but I'll have a look this morning and let you know as I'm still waiting for the light up tins and Spiced Shortbread.

WHAT. you threw them in the bin 😭 I live near Marks and have to go and buy them for friends before they sell out at about 10am . They are clearing lots of stock off shelves ready for Halloween and Christmas and reducing them on red tickets

I know <hangs head in shame> I so wanted to like them but they were so sickly to me. DD didn't like the idea either as she hates white chocolate. I've just walked past the cookies again and felt like I needed to buy some and try again for some bizarre reason (possibly the PICK ME! sign next to them) but I didn't. Our shelves were all red stickered and cleared a week or two ago and it's all full of Christmas stuff now (apart from aforementioned light up tins and Spiced Shortbread)

I shall be back again tomorrow if anyone wants me to check things out (I'm also currently waiting for the Christmas home range to appear; stuff like the festive room spray and oils etc)
