What are you getting your 6/7 year old boys for Christmas?

I am absolutely stumped for DS’ Christmas presents. He’s gone off toys and has a tv/mini fridge in his bedroom. He spends most of his free time on Minecraft or Roblox. He does have a PlayStation so maybe a few games for that and some Robux but otherwise I’m totally stuck. What are you getting your DS’?

Mine is a daughter but she's completely un-girly and is getting binoculars and a microscope, would he enjoy either of those?

It's quite sad to see someone say a 6 year old has gone off toys, 6/7 is still very little so I would be limiting the console and trying to encourage him back to toys.

My suggestions would be Lego, science kits, nerf guns, dog man books, magnet tiles, anything Pokemon related, metal detector, microscope and potentially a yoto player as an alternative to screen time.

What does he keep in his mini fridge?! He sounds old beyond his years so maybe get him some bottles of beer for his fridge?! Non-alcoholic, of course!
on a serious note, what about a bike, scooter, skateboard, roller skates or hover board?

DS1 is almost 7 and is getting (from us and others) for his birthday a remote control plane, an archery set, board games and some audiobooks (he has a yoto player). Board games have been a recent hit, they're definitely clicking for him more and he's better about not always winning! He's also not really into "toys" the way that his cousins were playing with Playmobil or Lego at the same age, I think because imaginative play has never really been his thing. He really likes science kits, but they're tricky with DS2.

A new scooter, Lego, Minecraft bits, always a couple of books, he’s into squish mellows so maybe one of those. He has way too many hot wheels but probably will want more.
TBH I usually bring home a Smyths catalogue and let them have a look through for ideas

@Forgottenmyphonehaha, it’s not usually turned on as the noise annoys him but usually just chocolate 😂 which is monitored and limited

I'll be getting 6yo ds a Nintendo switch lite this year.
He uses his older brothers consoles from time to time so this will be his first console that he owns.

Other than that, I'm going to get them a good chess board because they love playing.
He'll then get lego, board games, puzzles and his favourite is art supplies.

A six year old not into toys seems unusual. Does he have free access to the TV and Minecraft/Roblox? If so that's why he's not playing.

Mine will be nearly 7 at Christmas. I'll probably get him a couple of big Lego sets as he loves it, a board game I've seen that I think he'll like, and some craft bits as he loves making things. Stocking will be plastic tat and sweets.

I'm thinking about getting him a Switch for his 7th birthday but don't really want him getting obsessed with it yet.
