What do you want for Christmas?

I’ve just been asked what I want for Christmas, so I’m having a think about it.

Out of curiosity, what do you want for Christmas this year?

Peace and quiet.
Definitely not stressing out as usual.

Probably an ancestry kit. I've been decluttering and restored some of the old famile photos in Photoglory and while I did this I thought of making my own research about the family tree. I'm too lazy to do it right now, but I think I'll get a kit just to start somewhere.

At my stage of life, there's not really anything I need for myself or house so last year I asked for money towards theatre tickets and this year I'd like vouchers for some beauty treatments as those are both things I view as treats.

Either a new Kindle (mine is on it’s last legs) or an e-bike.

I've signed up to a 10 week Uni course starting in May, so I would like the books from the recommended reading list.

I am curious when people ask for money.
Do you have a specific thing you want to buy with it? Because couldn't you just ask for that ?
Obviously that's not always practical. I collect various secondhand things so having the cash is better because I don't always have a specific item I want but might go to a collectors fair and see what I can find.

World peace and kindness for all humankind (preferably before Xmas)!

But more realistically I will probably need a new phone by then and a good book is never not appreciated.

About £5000. That always seems to be the amount I am lacking.

Our 2 boys home to stay for a few days- they both live in London. We are up north, they always do. Some nice bodywash, some good watercolour brushes.

Last Christmas I was in the midst of chemo, not eating really, and feeling like shit. So this year's Christmas is already going to be better, as chemo, surgery and radiotherapy are behind me! I'd like perfume and nice skincare bits (I prefer consumables as presents). Maybe even some chocolate, now I'm eating again.
