This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

DS9 very nearly done (just need a couple of stocking fillers which are not Lego!). He loves tech & coding but mainly loves building websites atm. Maybe some cool fidget toys?

DS6 is so hard to buy for! He loves space & is very bright but I seem to have exhausted everything space related. Might get him an interactive globe as his main present but I still need to pick stuff from other family members, and stocking… 🤦🏻‍♀️

DS1 has nothing yet! Learnt not to go crazy on the big presents. He loves his Fisher Price Little People Farm but they don’t seem to do anything else as good as this. Maybe I need to revisit ELC sets

How about the Lego technic solar system for the middle one? He's probably old enough to build Lego stuff with a bit of help and it would like great on display after.

I'd get the 1 year old a couple of lovely quality things like books of a bag for regular use. Always think it's good for a youngest child to have some things that are new of their own (I also have 3).

There are a couple of the "don't tickle the" books on Amazon at a fiver down from £12.99.

Kids camera looks like a good deal.
I did consider it for DD age 3.5 but I really don’t want the special effects and games etc it does.

HoHoJ0 · 27/08/2025 22:52

Harry Potter Monopoly Deal £5.49 at Amazon. Here

The cheapest I’ve seen is £6.66 in the Argos 3 for £20. Regular Monopoly Deal is a big hit with my 7 and 5 year olds.

For space loving DS6 I’ve seen this Solar robot on the bargain pages lately reduced to £8.50 if any good

This is getting me excited! I’ve bought some bits and bobs for stockings in my local garden centre at half price.

ilovetea14 · 27/08/2025 23:08

@Anewuser thank you I just bought it. My Ds was looking for a new watch.

skkyelark · 27/08/2025 23:15

For kids' cameras, we have this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07KRVSJBN

Slightly more expensive, but part of the reason I liked it was no games (it does have a few 'add bunny ears to the photo' type effects, though).

Thank you. I will have a look at that one

Just ordered this smart watch for one of my boys (haven’t decided which one yet). It was £79.99, but tick the box for 50% discount, then at the payment screen, put in promotional code EHUSRL9R I paid £16.80 - bargain.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0FHKBTTYM?tag=p133gl11ts-21&fbclid=IwY2xjawMcSL5leHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHqe7fjuCoyKZGEwSntsCFAWfb6aGCveURZcj4M5SjmJjDCfu7o1v8ODx0s7f_aem_9F7L4o3xsQ-xjWdmvQ7CyQ&th=1

This looks a great bargain. Any idea if it works without being linked to a phone? My daughter wants one that tells the time and tracks steps but not linked to a phone as she doesn’t have one.

I don’t know, except it says it has built in heart rate monitoring/oxygen/sleep etc that you can view from your wrist anytime, so that would lead me to believe it doesn’t always have to be connected.

Blueberrymuffinsforthewin · 28/08/2025 07:12

This thread is amazing! How have I not stumbled across it before?! Just bought a few things for my DS and thanks for the discount dragon site recommendation - never heard of it before and done not only all my friends for Christmas but my sisters birthday and some house stuff for £50! It's also on blue light card too so an extra 10% off if anyone uses that.

AuntieDen · 28/08/2025 07:50

If anyone has 2good2go in the delivery section they have craft and crumb kids baking kits at 9 for £22.99 - best before date 31/01/26-28/02/26 so may be a stocking filler or cheap little gift if you have a lot to buy for

recklessgran · 28/08/2025 08:10

Mom2manykids · 28/08/2025 09:34

I’m in time for the first thread! I’m ready to go bargain shopping 😁

Sleeposaurus · 28/08/2025 09:46

Woohoo! Glad to be back on thr main threads (though I've been enjoying the prequel threads too).

This melissa and Doug dentist sent is down to £15.99. I think it got.it for £15 last year, but this is fine. My 6 year old has loved it (her siblings 9 and 11 have too). I am buying it again for my nice who is almost 9 who loves playing with it whilst here and asked for it for her Christmas this year.

I also just bought uno flip which is very highly recommended and we often play uno here. You can get it for under £5 without the tin, but uni is a game we often take with us if we are going to be waiting somewhere and our original set is all dog eared so I have splashed out and spent £6.99 on this set with a tin. Uno Flip

A reminder too that many employers have an employee benefit scheme which includes discounted vouchers for shops. Mine currently has 7% off argos vouchers. It soon adds up.

Oooh thanks, there’s some good deals on here. Does anyone know what 12-17 years old girls are into?? Last year I got Laneige and Rio de Janeiro bits for my nieces, has anything changed?

Still very popular plus Summer Friday in teen DD’s circles.

Bohomoon has a £10 jewellery sale and free delivery over £30. Naturally I had to buy three things for myself just to test this…

We also take Uno out and about… if you’ve got other sets without a lovely tin, we’ve got these
