Christmas Bargain Prequel Thread 2 - less than 6 months to go

Less than 6 months to go now. Last thread before @reastie I imagine

I also got some key rings and notebooks. Total I spent was about £4.50!

OK I've joined in with trying Amazon Haul. I have also stayed away from Temu before but as a PP said, already use Amazon so figured it was worth a try.

I've ordered things like packing cubes and refillable toiletry bottles for travel, claw clips for hair, makeup sponges, some crystal and 3D printed figures for DDs' stockings, a pair of cycling shorts for me, clothes pegs, a waterproof makeup bag for travel, shower loofahs and a pair of nail clippers for a grand total of a tenner.

I can’t even get in to Amazon Haul!🙈 Totally confused, I give up!

I ordered felt for sewing, some autumn decs, a couple of stocking fillers, some large leaves for my book corner, a couple of packs of stickers and some craft ribbon.
Wish I'd got clothes pegs!

I am at a loss to understand why I have now made, not one, but two Amazon Haul orders of stuff neither I nor anyone else needs 🙈

I also don’t know why I felt the need to do both orders in the middle of the night after falling down a haul rabbit hole!

I ordered a storage bag and an under-bed bag, some kitchen sponges, tea towels and brushes and took a chance on some joggers and socks for DH. I also bought some unnecessary metallic bookmarks for work and a few ‘stocking filler’ items as presents. The rest of it - well, I just lost my mind!

I spent about £23 altogether on 43 items. I will only have myself to blame if it is all total tat! I don’t do Shein or Temu, so I think that’s why I got carried away!

I’m wobbling on haul. Are the ethics any different to Temu or Shein?

I think it depends on whether you are happy buying from Amazon. Everything I bought is also available on the regular U.K. Amazon (but more expensive).

Some things I saw I am sure I have seen in Tiger and in Claire’s, and the gardening stuff looks the same as in my local garden centre.

It’s definitely mass produced cheap stuff coming from China. But so is most of the stuff in the shops from most retailers.

I think similarly, I'm just cutting out the middle man. I've got a party decorations, party bags and fillers, chuffed.

The Haul stuff just seems to be temu and shein stuff but sold through Amazon, which has been happening for a while now just usually at a marked up price. I saw a number of items I’ve bought off S & T which were not good quality, in fact the stuff I saw on Haul seemed to be my least favourite S & T purchases, I gave up scrolling in the end. At least with S & T when I order I know exactly what I’m getting and fully prepared for it not to be the best quality I can also look at reviews and pictures of previous purchases.

Also spotted 3 for 2 in some lego (orchid, parrot, that type of set) at Waitrose on the M6 today and a load of small garden toys discounted - I m guessing they're selling off the same stuff in all the stores

Jumping on the Amazon haul bandwagon, I also found these multitools which I thought would be perfect cracker fillers if anyone does DIY Christmas crackers. Showing as out of stock now but might be back?
