Stocking filler idea - I picked up a £1.99 mini perfume at the till in Aldi last night on a whim and it’s gorgeous. It’s called Cardinal Red and apparently it’s a dupe of Baccarat Rouge. I’ve been back today and got the others - Prism (apparently like Prada Paradoxe) and Perfect Pink (like Miss Dior). They’re in very cheapo packaging - the spray bit is see through plastic - but the scents are gorgeous, last for ages and smell expensive.

@MamaK19 the original one and the celebration one are the same, the celebration one is just rainbow coloured and party themed so Gabby has a party hat on etc. The actual house and functionality is the same. There is now the movie version too but that’s the same deal as far as I can tell, slightly different decor but same actual house. There is also a soft plushie version which is something entirely different so don’t go with that one!

@groundbreaking sorry to jump in but does this mean the party room fitd on the original Gabby's Dollhouse roof? Thanks.

Groundbreaking · 21/07/2025 20:29

@PumpkinSpicedTea it does! If you take the pink roof itself off, the party room then clips on to the green main house and makes another storey basically. The pink roof then reattaches on top of the party room. I’ve attached the best photo I could find to show you so hopefully it will be approved soon!

@PumpkinSpicedTea I know the photo isn’t the original house but we have the original and it works exactly the same.

Still popular here, NW.

We were also in Alton Towers last week with lots of high school kids on their school trip, it was almost like White Fox hoodies and denim shorts was the girls must have uniform.

Not so much here. Been replaced. South East

InDreamland · 21/07/2025 22:34

Oh yikes! I've been so busy I've missed half a thread and a lot of the last one too! I'm so behind with Christmas shopping this year, usually I'd have bought a lot but so far only bought a few bits. Feeling very disorganised. I need to start thinking what I would like to buy family and friends. Also, DD1 well be almost 6 and DD2 will be 4, I fear this year I can't buy too much in advance as they will change their minds last minute on what they want. I guess stocking fillers will be fine but the main presents I'll have to hold back.

Im in NW too. Noone wears it here anymore. WF was replaced by Adenola a couple of years ago now. Now alo is what everyone is wearing. My dd (15) wouldn't wear it if I bought it.

Christmasmcchristmasface · 22/07/2025 07:50

Thankfully WF seems as popular as ever in our area of NIreland. DD also isn’t super brand heavy or fashion ‘sheep’ she likes what she likes be it the odd “branded” bit but equally loves the hoodies and fleeces from Dunnes (chain store Ireland) and primark - it nearly makes her too easy to buy for 🫣🫣

It’s amazing how the same region can be so different. Maybe it’s a socioeconomic thing 🤷‍♀️

sillygoof · 22/07/2025 11:32

White Fox still popular here in my midlands small town, but with tweens rather than teenagers.

Many thanks to the pp for the Claires deal - using buy one get one free, the 50% code and a £5 reward I got 6 Halloween palm pals for £7!

I love Dunnes too, I do a big haul a couple of times a year, I live out of my Dunnes tracksuits at home and have a collection of Dunnes cross over bags in every colour 😂 I will be doing a shop before Christmas x

Claire’s have 50% off with code COOL50 which stacks with buy 3 get 3 free as well as any rewards you have on your account, just got 6 things between £8-£14 each for £10 using my £10 reward balance on top of the two offers.

Thanks for this!

I just wanted to add that although Claire’s is clearly aimed at tween girls, when this stacking offer is on I always get stocking fillers for my teen boys e.g. palm pal, fidget toys, “cozy” socks with ghosts on, water bottles. In prior years I have got charging cables (no longer stocked unfortunately) and phone cases.

Just got £48 “worth” of stocking fillers for £7 (assuming the shop actually puts them in the bag - which is always an issue with Claire’s)

Yep I find it handy for both genders and all ages! 2 of the 6 things were out of stock for me when it was dispatched today so price was adjusted slightly to reflect a little but still happy 😃 I would never buy most of it full price so I find that it looks a fairly decent gift for school friends etc and has cost just a few pound each

What did you get? 🙂

watchuswreckthemic · 22/07/2025 21:18

Another thanks for the Claire’s thread- I’ve managed to get 3 snoopy themed things and a stranger things plush for my older plus a present for a sleepover party AND stocking fillers for £40!

Just a few extras for the present box (thought it would be easier to screenshot to show savings), I buy for quite a few friends little girls aged between 4-8 for birthdays and Christmas so always try have to have a little stock! Claire’s has been fantastic over the last 12 months or so with offers like these plus regular rewards meaning hauls cost very little. Last year they did a 5 for £10 online and that including backpacks and purses etc, and then 10 for £10 in store, I spent about £50 I think and it easily covered all birthday and Christmas presents for 12 months for the 8 kids I buy for plus towards any school parties for that age range

Buy Little Live Pets - My Puppy's Home Dalmatian Edition | Electronic toys and robots | Argos https://share.google/QPvluSzWOrdAg3vku
This toy dog is really good value at £10, the plain brown version is still £40 at the entertainer, I'd say it's really overpriced at 40 but great for 10. It makes a decent sized gift and you build the kennel then the dog 'magically appears' I'd say its good for 4-7 year olds.

woodwaj · 22/07/2025 22:59

Just a heads up with Abbott lyon I bought myself and my friend birthstone rings and both of the stones fell out within a week. My friend only told me after I mentioned mine. I couldn't fault customer service but I wouldn't buy anything with a stone in from them again.

Ive usually bought more by now, all ive ordered is a new Messi Stanley. None bargainous but ds will think its great!

Onemoret1me · 23/07/2025 06:50

For those that white fox is no longer in fashion, what are the teenagers wearing now?

In terms of leisure wear i still see quite a bit of adenola around but mostly alo

My dd is older though (almost 15) so maybe as pp said, white fox is still popular with younger kids and tweens. I definitely think that's who its marketed to

Dd also loves vintage clothes and I end up spending a fortune in vintage shops and depop on clothes I had in my own wardrobe in the 90s. I also cant believe the 90s is vintage, feels like it was yesterday!

hby9628 · 23/07/2025 08:22

My 14yo DD has recently discovered Hollister which she likes. I picked up a plain hoodie to stash for Xmas in their recent sale (think it might still be live) I got her a small men’s hoodie

Yalz · 23/07/2025 16:05

Hotel Chocolat has sent me an email to say they will have a new Velvitiser from September. It will make both hot and cold chocolate drinks, and cost £149.95.

If you're thinking of buying a Velvitiser for a Christmas present, then perhaps wait a few months and the price of the original one may come down - although it's often on offer, anyway.

UsernameCreateded · 23/07/2025 16:11

Got these for my girls stockings…. Mystery surprise lip gloss.
Not Christmas but I’m excited to share a bargain and had to spend £20 for free postage, so I also bought some clearance jewellery items for £1.50 for the party present box… will be given with a box of Maltesears etc.
