Hi all, for the last few years we have done a Santa Sleepover weekend at Alton Towers in December. It's a package which includes a room at one of the hotels, entrance to the theme park (kids rides only), a visit to see Father Christmas in his grotto, a Christmas dinner, Panto and then the following day entrance to the water park. We love doing it as a really festive treat- the park/hotels are all decorated, and they have other little activities for the kids and evening entertainment etc; it's like being in a little festive bubble. However, I think our kids (8 and 13) are starting to outgrow it; they used to have at least 1 adult ride open which kept my eldest occupied, but this year there were no adult rides, plus the David walliams ride area was also shut.
So, does anyone have any recommendations for an alternative festive and fun weekend we could do next Christmas instead please? Ideally not just Christmas markets please, they don't mind them for a while but get bored (and they all seem to be mostly food and drink stalls!). I want to do something that still gives me that Christmas bubble feeling - I really look forward to it every year!
