What are you having for a chilled NYE dinner at home?

Kids will be in bed. We aren’t going to get a takeaway. M&S meal deals any good? Or the usual oven bits and bobs but looking for inspiration. Might have to get a baked Camembert… obviously washing down with champagne.🍾

We are currently deciding between lasagna or takeout pizza.
The M&S pizza deal is decent if it running.

I'm making pizza dough and we're doing our own pizzas

We’re having a seafood platter, lobster, brown crab, hand dived scallops, and langoustine, we normally also have mussels cooked in white wine and crusty bread.

I do love a steak. Normally just with chips and veg though so would want something fancier with it for NYE I think.

DH and DH will be having a baked brie
i will be at work so god knows, whatever is quick from the fridge. Probs a sandwich

M&S curry and sides .

Fillet steak with peppercorn sauce with green veg, peppercorn sauce and chips and champagne undecided on dessert yet.

Fish pie with some greens.

Same but oysters rather than scallops. DH is brilliant at marinating lobster tails and then cooking them on the BBQ.

We'll serve with baguette and salad. Prosecco as don't like champagne.

Current plan is Indian take away but I'm going to have a browse of M&S and Waitrose meal deals...

But DH and I will have some nice cheeses and cured meats, mini peppers, sunblushed tomatoes etc with it.

Going to raid Aldi for party food. We’re having a kids New Year early, so there will be some nibbles but nothing substantial in the afternoon, so I want to get a few options.

Rib eye steak, triple cooked chips, roast flat mushrooms and salad. I'm looking forward to it already!

We’ll be at the coast, so thinking fish, but need to check out the fishmonger when we get there before deciding.

Home made tapas with either manzanilla or cava.
