NC for this.

Due to the popularity of the Christmas thread, I thought this would be a nice thread to do!

Here’s mine:

Surely that's a cheese board, not a charcuterie board?
Charcuterie is cold meat, specifically pork products. There's no charcuterie in your photo.

Mashroom · 26/12/2024 23:38

Graze board type thing ? This was ours Christmas Eve (more to keep kids happy)

I was expecting a comment like this. My family and I are vegetarians, so I clearly use the term interchangeably

Sorry, not what thread is about but I love your runner and plate. Can I ask where you got them?

Lovely thread btw. Making me very hungry!

But it's not interchangeable.

You could have said grazing board or cheeseboard or nibbles or something else non specific but vegetarian. Charcuterie is specifically cold pork.

Show us your charcuterie/cheese/grazing/snack boards then. Is that better? 😊

Not very clear at all though. How are we supposed to know that. It's a cheese board.

The runner (I have it) looks like it is from Dunnes (Irish brand)

Nope - cos it has to be the title 🤪

Makes a lot more sense.
Otherwise it's like saying "Show us your roast meat, here's mine" accompanied by a photo of a cauliflower cheese.
Not that cauliflower cheese isn't nice, it's just not covered by the definition "roast meat".
Your dips and cheese look nice.

Eta What I really like the look of is your fireplace.

Ah, thank you. I'm in NI so know Dunnes well. Right enough, it does have the Carolyn Donnelly look about it. Very pretty.

Our Dunnes doesn't do homewares 😬so I'll check online. Thanks.

Thank you! It’s covered in wax now, so I’ll have fun scrapping that off tonight!

Maybe less time on the bird and more time invested in getting some decent meat- that ham looks like it is reformed.

Bettyfromhomeroom · 28/12/2024 14:04

Mines from last year, it's not very adventurous as it was for me & DS who at the time wasn't eating any fruit, I had some grapes on the side.
