What were the top surprise hits for your DSs (age 9 and 12) and DDs (age 15)?

Looking for inspiration for Feb and Match birthdays.

Surprise here was the Dr Squish maker. Bought as a random extra - they used it together on Christmas Day and made 2 squishes each. Such happy collaboration NEVER happens usually.

Tattoo pens from Amazon! We've all had a go and are enjoying them

My twin daughters are both 16. One of them loved:

CDs of their favourite artists
A Little Women vinyl
A Normal People script book
Digital camera
Tote bag music themed
Uggs with bows
Crystal fairy lights
Pandora heart earrings

If she's into beauty stuff and clothes - Sol de Janeiro, Charlotte Tilbury, Ordinary, Elf, Summer Friday's, White Fox, Brandy Melville were all big hits with my other daughter this year. She also loved her Lululemon water bottle.

Smart Games. My 7 year old got one and hadn’t stopped playing with it all day (except when I nicked it to have a go!). They have loads with different age suggestions.

DS10's star gifts:
'Board' games: Cards vs Gravity, and an expansion pack to add onto his existing Exploding Kittens game. This came with a 'cone' to put around one's neck like a newly neutered pet, and he has been rendered breathless giggling at us wearing it.

A stack of Pringles

A mini lightbulb-shaped thing that turns on with the dazzling power of a Range Rover in full beams heading straight towards you. Can vouch for the brightness as it was what woke me up on Christmas morning... Now DP wants one.

I think my DS also got one of these light bulb things. Which also has an SOS flash setting and should come with an epilepsy warning!:

Ours liked the 3d pen scribbler. It says from age 6 but it was a bit tricky for my 6 year old.
