I asked for all of that bar the was set and very pleased with what I got

We agreed not to give presents on Christmas Day, there is only us and we get each other things throughout the year……
but

we have just had the kitchen overhauled and got a new combi microwave to replace the poor old cracked door one I have used happily for eleven years. It vented from the sides and the top. This one vents from the side , the housing was made for it to the spec on the site ; however, it also seems to vent from beneath and the shelf it stands on gets quite hot, which made me nervous😐.

This morning DH gave me a piece of heat resistant plastic( up to 189 degrees) , cut to the exact size of the housing, and colour matched to the cupboards. He had to send off to Holland ( 🤷🏻‍♀️) for it.

I’m overjoyed, and I’m going to bless him every time I use it.

Birthday and Christmas today for me, got a new drone and a few different camera accessories and some watercolour paint which I’m excited to use.

My 2 Kids got me a joint Christmas/50th birthday present of a trip for 4 days to Munich! I turn 50 in Feb so we're going then.

They got it cos I have loved the German language since forever & have been trying to learn it for years & always said someday I'd get to Germany to try practise on real Germans 😂

I was so shocked. They've been saving since last May for it. We're all going. I'm so excited.

200€ on my card for the local swimming pool and sauna. I’m really happy to have that as it’s something we like to do together.

M&S tartan fleece pyjamas, M&S Iris perfume , Benefit bad gal Mascara X2 , it's the only make up l wear, Jo Malone Pommegranate noir perfume , box of Hotel Chocolat , Whittard hot chocolate , all a bit cliche but l love them all ❤️

@Neodymium @Itsaswelltime I'm so sorry to hear that neither of you received any presents. This year I got new slippers, new pyjamas, a glitter hanging heart, a new salt and pepper set, new makeup and candle. All things I really wanted and I bought them all myself over the last few weeks as I was sick of not getting anything at all from my dh and ds every, single, year! Loads of excuses from them, no money (yet money to buy themselves things) not been to the shops, don't know what to get blah blah blah. I vowed that this year I was having some presents, even if I've bought them myself. Money is not in abundance so I've cut back on my presents to them so I could get what I wanted. Anything would have been much appreciated from them, even just a bar of chocolate or a small candle but, once again, nothing. It's the same at birthdays too. I really hope that you can both treat yourselves in the sales and that next year you buy something nice, don't allow them to disappoint you again. Sending unmumsnetty Christmas hugs x

DH got me a lovely hat, scarf and gloves set (asked for), perfume and a personalised hardback notebook with pictures of my dog on 🥰.

DS(15) got me fleece lined Crocs which is so thoughtful as we’d been discussing Crocs on the family What’s app group and I’d mentioned I’d wanted some so he’s taken note and got me them, which was a total surprise 🥰.

What I got:
A mug (with a chip in it as he dropped it while wrapping it apparently)

Fine if you're into those things. But I am not and clearly my husband thinks I'm a 90 year old grandma. Next year I don't think I'll put in quite as much effort with the husbands stuff. 😡I got him a watch, a guided tour of the Harry Potter studio, some pjs, all the books he asked for (about 12 in total), some pjs, chocolate and an expensive cologne

My lovely thoughtful amazing teen daughter gives thee most thoughtful gifts. 🥰

She spent her own money to get me:

1. a beautiful Coach wallet (as mine is old and tattered);
2. a gorgeously fluffy blanket and pillow case set (I love being cosy and warm at night);
3. a bedtime sleep set with sleeping mask, bed scented spray and fluffy hot waterbottle;
4. lovely fluffy pjs;
5. a luxury shower gel set.

She got my parents loads of equally thoughtful gifts and even saved a gift my ex-mother-in-law gave her to pass to me, wrapped it and put it under the tree to ensure I have more gifts to open (a beauty set). She also called my parents and told them what to get me. Also, has written me and my parents lovely Christmas cards. She's the best 😍

I got mini UGGs that I really wanted and clothes from my parents.

Dh lovely silver and amethyst bracelet ( I took a photo in the jewellers and sent it to him)
From Mum, Holzkern watch. I chose it, ordered it and wrapped it ( she is elderly).
Decided life is too short not to have lovely gifts. Once you let go of the desire for others to show their love by spontaneously choosing brilliant gifts life is much happier

Baileys chocolates, bojangles I think it's called, chocolates, some crafting things, and some lovely fluffy socks

Some trainers, a book and a few smelly candles. More than enough for me and happy with what I got.

Nothing 😅 not even a card.

DH bought me a necklace with what looks like a regular gemstone but when you shine it towards the light and look very close it's actually a picture of us... very thoughtful and very him.
Also got perfume ( 3 minis and one set) chocolate, booze a necklace and a funky disco ball cup.
