As the username says - this is the year I stood up for myself. Family members didn't like a ripple in the status quo but it was long overdue.
Thinking of everyone in the same boat. It hurts but it's also so calming to not have to pretend that everything is okay any more.

Wishing g you all good times ahead. It's been a testing year and the situation is likely to continue into 2025. So I'm using the Xmas break to reset my batteries & forget about it for a while.

Thank you. Definitely having a Shitmas (cancer etc.) but wishing a wonderful time and lots of love to all. It’s nice to read about everyone’s ups and downs and feel grateful for what we have.

Happy Christmas, both DH and I ended up in hospital this year and then DS broke up with his GF who I was hoping would be my future DIL, I absolutely adored her, just two weeks ago as well.

It's been a shit year for several reasons - and there may be more twists and turns in the road but as someone else said , will try and get the most joy out of today that I can with my beautiful adult DDs and family. Wishing all health and happiness
