Just received a card through the post. Dear Daisy and husband, sorry we’ve drifted apart, you know how busy life gets… etc etc Christmas greetings and the rest.
signed off by two people we absolutely do not know.
is this a thing? Do people send joke cards to wind people up trying to wrack their brains working out who they are?? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

I had one addressed to Nan. I found it strange as we've lived here for 10 years. Surely they know where their nan lives and if not why have they not sent Nan a birthday or Christmas card in the last 10 years? Strange eh.

It’s that kind of environment at work and there’s a couple of people I think who would do something like this. Definitely not any of the DCs.

My kids did this to us last year...we thought it was hilarious when they fessed up

My in laws received a Janet and Roy card a few years back thanks to Mumsnet. MIL kept coming back to it and rereading it, baffled. Janet and Roy had promised to pop in on their way to France in May too.

Haha we have done this to our parents 5 Christmases in a row, still none the wiser who the couple are 😂
