Die Hard! Yes or no?

I love Christmas movies, love them all but I still haven't seen Die Hard. It's on tonight & DH suggested watching it, he's seen it before so he's he doesn't mind either way. So is it a Christmas movie or not?

Yes! Watched it last night, it's an action movie set at Christmas. Corny, carols, Bruce Willis in a white vest, what not to love?

It's set at Christmas. It has a Christmas theme and it's about reunification of family (as well as defeating terrorists lol).

It's interesting to watch as a throw back to how movies used to be made for the male gaze. I didn't notice it at the time but it's very misogynistic. There's a topless woman in the background in one part and a poster of a topless woman in another part. Neither of them add to the story. They're just there for the teenage boys in the audience.

It’s a great film, as is Die Hard 2.
It’s also the subject of a running joke in Friends and Brooklyn 99 so the kids love it too.

I don't know how I haven't seen it before now. I've seen every other Christmas movie dozens of times. I think there was a debate in some rom com years ago about it not being a Christmas movie & that's why I haven't seen it. I'll watch it tonight so. The comment about Brice Willis in a white vest sold it to me!

Love Actually is my favourite. I watched it last night & plan to watch The Holiday tomorrow night.
