We have loads of nice food
Cheese /chocolate /party food the usual bits everyone gets.
When do you start eating it?
I'm so tempted tonight
I really fancy picky food and pornstar martinis but is it too early ?
Thinking about it Christmas Eve we are at my dads,Christmas Day after lunch we will be full
So Boxing Day then the 27th we are away for the night
Shall I just start it ?

Yes, definitely. We started last night!

Yes. Enjoy yourself!

Emptied the fridge today in preparation for the big food shop tonight when hopefully the crowds have died down at the supermarket. We'll put whatever we want in a huge trolley and to hell with the cost. Then people can eat whatever they want so long as the Xmas day food is left.

We start the week before Christmas and probably finish it by new years! I think Christmas is more than just Christmas Day so starting earlier makes it feel more festive!

It’s never too early is it 🎄

Christmas Eve usually but I've come to the conclusion I much prefer the run up to Xmas and after is a bit of an anticlimactic so this year we're digging in earlier

SugarCookieMonster · 21/12/2024 15:10

Plus if you start on the Christmas snacks early, you know what tastes amazing so you can buy another one for the Christmas/New Year wasteland days!

Get stuck in

Christmas Eve

Well, that's the aim, anyhow.....

ohholynightt · 21/12/2024 15:15

Last year I did the mistake of saying "that's for Christmas Eve onwards" and we ran out of dates
I've got fresh party food and party food in the freezer so it's just logical to start on the fridge ones isn't it
Might open the heroes too 😂

Christmas is a 3 day feast in our house starting on Christmas eve. New year is a 2 day feast, New years eve and the first. Alcohol and shortbread an offered until 31st January for any visitors that we haven't seen so far that year.

I haven't bought any food yet. My fridge and cupboards are practically empty. I am going shopping Monday pm. If I had the food in, I would start this evening.
