Best Christmas films of all times 🎄🍿

My teen loves Christmas and we usually watch Christmas films in the run-up to and over the holidays, but most are quite rubbish.

Surprisingly, my teen absolutely LOVED It's a Wonderful Life which I also watched for the first time either her and thought was brilliant.

In the past we also loved Miracle on 34th Street and recently we watched Holiday, which was also nice.

Home Alone is of course a classic.

What are your favourite Christmas films? Any suggestions for actually good films that also happen to be Christmas films? 🎅 🎄 🎥

Our favourite is National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. All our family laughs at this one and we watch it together every year.

It’s not Christmas until I’ve seen Scrooge! Then Die Hard, The Grinch, Elf and Miracle on 34h St. I’ll happily watch The Holiday or Love Actually but they both annoy me for being implausible.

Always the Muppet Christmas Carol, which is a Christmas Eve staple in this house.
also love Four Christmases, The Holiday, Christmas Magic (so bad it’s good), A Crown For Christmas (Rupert Penry-Jones), The Knight Before Christmas, Gremlins and Christmas Chronicles.

Die hard 2. But obviously not for young families. Mine are older teens and Die Hard/Die Hard 2 (our preferred) has been our Christmas film of choice the last couple of years.

Another vote for National Lampoon! One day I am going to have cats names Margot and Todd

The 1997 miniseries of The Shining, which more closely follows the book, and which Stephen King prefers.

Spirited - best Christmas film ever!

I love Ryan Reynolds we watched this last year , it was a typical RR film , so funny . Though DS who is a massive fan of Deadpool thought he sang too much

Lost Christmas - Eddie Izzard is the main star , the film is 2011 so a few years old now .

We love the Nativity films in my house. Not the 4th one as much.

Also, the two Mrs Miracle films are great.

The three Princess Switch films with Vanessa Hudgens are brilliant too!

Krampus and Violent Night - alternative Christmas films 😁

A collection of teens round our house watched Violent Christmas a few nights ago - it sounded pretty good! Perfect for mid-older teens I think.

Jointly we love Lampoons, I love the Holiday but my favourite film of all time which is set at Christmas is The Family Stone.
