Something for 11 year old boy to ‘play with’

Reviewing the kids present piles. 11YO has mostly sensible items/clothes, but nothing to ‘do’ or ‘play with’ on Christmas Day. He has lovely things but I’m worried he will be bored in the afternoon when his siblings get their toys out. Any ideas?

We got DS a rollercoaster puzzle game from Amazon. I wanted to get him some rollercoaster KNEX to build too but DP pointed out he still has Lego and other "build your own" kits from last year he hasn't started yet.

DS has never really been interested in playing with toys on his own. He likes games and puzzles. He got the Genius Star puzzle for his birthday and enjoys that. He enjoys playing Stratego and Risk board games too.

He also got a couple of Harry Potter figures to paint for his birthday, and some little diamond art pictures to make after he'd loved doing them at a friend's.

One I don't know a lot about is a BBC MicroBit that you can apparently program to do different things. It's tiny and doesn't "do" a lot, but hopefully it'll hold his interest.

I got my teen a few magic tricks last year, kept him busy learning them and then wowing the crowds!

Klask? It's maybe a bit pricey but looks fun. (We've bought it for our hard-to-buy-for 14 year old, hopefully he'll like it.) https://www.klaskgame.com/

@moggerhanger we have klask and it’s great! Especially when there are a few people around and we have little tournaments. Had it a couple of years and it’s a game we’ll keep forever as all ages like it.

Cheap option (in the 'tat' range but good for a day of entertainment), cone ball game... especially if they have siblings and can get competitive or play catch with each other (or just fire the ball at each other lol).
