Stockings for grown up DSs

Help needed!
My DC are 25, 23 and 13.
Still do stockings for all - maybe I am soft but there you go.
I've got them snacks, coffee sachets, a couple of kitchen bits (both keen cooks) and a phone charger plug each. Socks, pants, PJs, selection boxes and toiletries already purchased.
I don't want to fill the stockings with tat that won't get used. Any useful but inexpensive non- food items that others are giving?

Our adult children refuse to let go of their stockings! I started this thread months ago because it's often easier to think of ideas, even if not buying, when the shops aren't full of Christmas stuff. I was amazed at how it took off! Maybe you can find some ideas on there?

@OMGitsnotgood that's a really great thread 🙂

In case you don't have time to go through all of that thread, here are some thoughts off the top of my head:

If they drive :
Car air fresheners
De-icer
Screen wipes
Chamois leather

Scratch card or lottery ticket

Trolley coin

Mini bottles of wine/ Christmas beer/ cans of cocktails

Keyboard cleaning putty

If relevant to their jobs:
Post it notes
Note books
Decent pens

Really dull but practical things like batteries or when ours were decorating their houses masking tape (because DS pinched ours); superglue

WearyAuldWumman · 17/12/2024 19:37

Lip gloss.
Mini bottles of nail varnish.
Mascara.

@OMGitsnotgood that's a really great thread 🙂

I was nervous about starting it but my DC are going to have the best stockings ever as a result!

We always have a scratch card, orange and chocolate as a base each year and then other things put in.

I do my mums but have completely forgotten to get stuff yet this year - I usually do something like mini hand cream, mini perfume, christmasy nail polish, a scratch card and this year I think I will get some card games to add in! I love getting mini gin and a nice chocolate bar in mine!

There are some good little bits in Tesco's cheaper gifts section, things like dinosaur wire protectors for charger cables.
