Christmas gift - MIL

Hi all, don’t post often but I am hoping to change my gift for my mother in law. She does alot for us and want to get her something unique and special.

what was your fav gift from son/ dil? As a mother in law, what would make you feel special?

Lovely to hear a daughter-in-law want to show direct appreciation.

Doesn't matter what you buy her, just write in a card how much you love and appreciate her.

She'll be thrilled

Something special probably has to be personal to her.

One mil might love a beautiful handbag, or ticket to a theatre show, the next might prefer a year’s subscription to the NT, an online book club or an Ancestry website.

My MIL loved getting taken to a concert one year, another year she liked going to an exhibition she was interested in at one of the big London Museums and often she is just very happy with a family meal out and a lovely cake (even though she says she hates a fuss).

My MiL did like receiving a silver photo frame with really nice photos of dc’s and her and FIL in it. She has it on her bedside table. I also got same photo in a white frame for my dc’s, I think it’s really nice for them all to have the same photos.
