What are the “right” sports brands these days?

Please can someone with their finger on the pulse share which sports brands are popular with teenage boys these days?

My nephew would like a running t-shirt for Xmas but I have no idea what’s cool these days. My brother was no use when I asked him but I remember how important this stuff, rightly or wrongly, felt when I was a teenager.

He’ll wear it in games at school so I don’t want to mark him out as having an ancient out of touch aunty that buys his gear 😂 please help!

Can be somewhat tribal but Nike is a fairly safe bet.

Montirex or Monterrain is in at the moment amongst DS aged 14 and his friends.

You can never go wrong with Nike though as it tends to be always acceptable whereas other brands come and go.

Under armour?

Nike seems to be the most universally accepted one I've come across

Both my DS’s (one is 14 and one is 19) like New Balance and Nike.

15yr old DS always asks for Nike.
