Pre-paid gift cards

Hi all,
Bit of an odd question but I am at a loss and the internet just seems to be confusing me more. I am in the EU and want to send my aunt in another country (also in the EU) a pre-paid gift card so she can use it anywhere. There are plenty of options for specific places but I would like her to be able to use it anywhere she wants as opposed to having to go to a specific place dictated by a gift card. Mastercard doesn’t seem to have an option of me buying a gift card at all, I could buy a card but it would have to be registered to me, Visa comes from the US and seems very complicated, Revolut, Swift and quite a few others require a phone app set up (she is nearly 80 and doesn’t have a smart phone). The country she lives in looks like it doesn’t do them at all… Could anyone recommend anything please? Otherwise it will have to be a money in an envelope job 😂

I think you’d probably be scuppered by the precautions various companies take to reduce the risk of fraud and money laundering, unless the country she’s in has the equivalent of the UK’s High Street vouchers and you know someone else who’d be able to buy them for her if you sent them the cash? But even then, there are lots of places that don’t accept them, so maybe cash would work better for her?
