What can I wrap this gift in?

Going away with DFriend for Christmas, bought her some earrings from a local store…she went in last week to buy them for herself (couldn’t as a one of a kind pair) and the shop owner said “oh Lego was in here last week buying earrings too!”

Now last week I was actually buying my own earrings 😂 but she’s totally guessed that I bought hers (despite channelling my mother and saying “done get excited, you’ll be v disappointed on Christmas Day!”) so I want to wrap them in a ridiculous manner so they don’t look like what they are (think, wrapped as a guitar or something) but we’re flying to our destination so space is limited and I won’t have a huge amount of stuff to work with in a villa 😂

would love any ideas!

Toblerone or Smarties tube.

No help to you but my OH once wrapped a beautiful gold bracelet in a massive box of second hand camping equipment.

Get a second hand dvd case for her favourite film and put in that

Buy her a couple of pairs of socks or gloves and wrap in the middle of those.

Thanks all!

She hates toblerone and thinks socks are not a Xmas gift so one of those is PERFECT 😂

Buy her a fake gift (mug, socks or whatever)? Give her that first - then later do the earrings?

If you are really careful, you can open up a Terrys chocolate orange and tuck them inside (you might have to carve some chocolate away from the insides to make space) and then re wrap it. You will likely need a dab of glue to re stick the sticker on the foil

Buy a charity shop book on a topic that she is interested in and cut a secret compartment inside. Use cotton wool or tissue paper to prevent any giveaway rattle.

Bar of soap, cut in half and scoop out middle and then sandwich back together and wrap

Buy a novel from charity shop and hickory it inside "stuck" together pages

That might seem suspicious through airport security 🤣

Ziplock back full of air. It'll be rattley, but won't give away the shape of the box. Then wrap.

Fill your own tree bauble. Also disguises box shape.

Carefully rip open a cuddly toy and insert it - festive penguin or one of those truly hideous elf on the shelf monstrosities.

I cannot, in good conscience, destroy a book 😂

I can however, tear apart an Elf on the shelf 😂
