I need to buy a stash of these for a parents gathering at school. I need to cater for 70.

What will be the best tasting, but not massively expensive mince pies and mulled wine. Also, mince pies for those with dietary requirements such as gluten and no animal products.

Greggs mince pies are nice and they're "accidentally vegan" so would do for everyone except gluten free.

Might be slightly dearer than supermarket ones but not loads!

Lidl mince pies and mulled wine are delicious.

Aldi!

I was at a village tree lighting the other day - there was mulled wine after - I thought it was home made and when I mentioned to the lady serving it out, she said it was the Aldi one! it was so nice (others agreed!)

Ive had their mince pies this year too (the little ones) and they were lovely too xx

Tesco frangipane ones are beaut but probably not budget friendly.

I’ll check them all out thank you. I’ve got an Aldi near me. Was there a name for the mulled wine?

Also, does anyone know how warm the mulled wine needs to be? I’ll warm it and put it in flasks but not sure how warm or hot it needs to be. I’ve never drunk it.

@SloppyLasagna I’d go for steaming hot but don’t let it boil. It’s not as nice to drink when it’s cooled down too much, so go on the hot side and people can let it cool in their cup before drinking. (Warm the flasks with hot water first). 🎄

I think it had a red label _ not sure how many types they do, I haven't been to get mine yet!

Lidl and Tesco are really nice just the basic ones

They taste so much better after being heated up in my air fryer for 5 mins at 180

A minute in the microwave or even just 30 seconds

KittenPause · 12/12/2024 09:26
