Cosmetics / perfume / skincare for 16yo?

Hello

Need a present for a 16yo girl. Would like to get something (or a couple of things) in this category and would love recommendations.

lives in London, not in the “cool crew” but would definitely want the “right” brands / products to show off at school / on social media! would like to avoid adult skincare with harsh chemicals but feel like one of the teen-specific brands may seem uncool. And not full on skin makeup. Has eyeshadows.

sol de Janeiro body spray? Laneige lip balm? Are specific colours / scents cooler than others?!

budget £50

Thanks!

Don’t get her La Neige. Trendy but honestly it’s rubbish - I got it for DD last year and it dried her lips out to the point of cracking. Awful stuff

Dior lip oil? Miss Dior perfume?

Sol de Janeiro 62 smells lovely - it’s salted caramel and pistachio. You can get a little gift set for £30 which has a small body wash and bum bum cream in it.

There is a Laneige Candy Cane gift set which has 2 items in for about £22. DD had terrible chapped lips but they’ve completely healed since using this brand.

PLouise is very popular although DD is 11 so not sure about 16..

Skincare - Byoma is popular and suitable for most skins

Wow seems to be popular with teens for hair care

And yes agree with the Dior lip oil
I’ve heard that’s been on a lot of Christmas lists!

Second all this and just to add - Charlotte Tilbury. She has sets for around £40. Very popular with teens.

Glow Recipe for skincare
Honeybalm, Lanolips and Fruu for lip balm
Philosophy bath and shower gels

Definitely Glow recipe

Thanks everyone - will look into these. Keep them coming please!

I wasn’t sure if the dior lip oil would be too old. Is there a particular colour that’s most popular?

Sol De Janeiro - 62 is the most popular scent but any of them are popular. You can get nice little sets that has the spray, moisturiser and shower gel.
Any of the Ariana Grande perfumes are popular- Cloud is her most popular scent
Sundae shower foams

Byoma is a good skincare brand for that age. Boots has some fab sets of them.
Glow recipe, drunk elephant, the ordinary, starface pimple patches

Make Up id think Charlotte Tilbury sets, summer Fridays lip balm, rare beauty blush, laneige lip masks,

Thanks everyone!

With the help of a Quidco discount code and cashback I managed to get the following plus a couple of samples under £39 from Sephora:

Leneige lip balm (not a Christmas one)
sol de janeiro spray
glow recipe cleanser

all small sizes but decent haul I think! If anyone is interested the lip balms are £16 (a bit cheaper than elsewhere) and on 3 for 2 with a load of other things. I did think about getting 2 of the other things in place of the cleanser but couldn’t see anything that was quite right

might add a sundae shower foam thing from boots currently on offer at under £9…

Be careful with fashionable brands of skin care, many aren't suitable for children, and yes 16 is a child.

I have some Plouise lip oils and I rate them. I get very dry lips and since using them my lips don't flake any more and the packaging is beautiful.
