I need Christmas cushions! Inspire me, please.

Okay. I know nobody needs them before some grinch points that out. What I actually need are new cushions after a puppy related incident and I am hoping Santa will bring me some. I want some temporary cushion covers for now so my sofa doesn’t look like a used dog bed. I thought some Christmas covers could at least be reused…

I’m thinking —hoping for— Ikea type prices but they don’t really have anything I like. I’m not really a novelty cushion type person, more ski chalet chic or a folksy knitted Nordic kind of thing. My old cushions are quite maximalist though. Quirky is good but not twee. I like texture. The sofa is mid century modern.

You could always buy new, non-Christmas cushions, but tie a large, red ribbon around them to be festive and remove in Jan. Otherwise, these (I'm not sure if some of these are quirky or twee, so ignore if not your style):

The puppy was a guest. TBF I didn’t really care about her chewing the old, slightly tired cushions or drooling on them in her sleep as I had already asked Santa to bring me some lovely House of Hackney cushions 😂 But they didn’t survive the subsequent wash very well!

What I really want is a needlepoint design with deer that looked like Norwegian jumper that Ikea stocked circa 15 years ago 😂

The current top runner is this one but I’m not sure I love it enough for a trip to Ikea and it doesn’t really fit with what I said I want 😂
