Warning about Space NK delivery times this year

I’m usually a big fan of Space NK products and this year thought I would splash out on gifts for good friends and family on their website. The prices for some products were more than for Cult Beauty and other rivals but I had read that the delivery times were excellent.

I emailed them several times to check that delivery would be made by today or maybe tomorrow at latest - within the 4-6 working days promise. ‘Yes - delivery and dispatch will be within that timeframe. Just because you haven’t received an update doesn’t mean it won’t come to you in time’.

Today I received an email saying it would be another 6-8 WORKING days for delivery.

I needed the delivery as we are having an early Christmas with friends and now I will turn up empty handed.

We are in zone 2 London - so not somewhere remote. Just wanted to warn others hoping for a timely delivery not to expect Space NK to fulfil its contract. They also use Royal Mail who are utterly unreliable and drawn out. Stick to instore only!

Oh no! Sorry if you know this but there's a few spaceNks in london if you need to dash in and get the gifts - seven dials and Kings Cross both good

I ordered something last Sunday and it's still not been dispatched. They're never normally like this!
I put it down to the Black Friday deals but it's not good enough really.

I’ve got the limitless delivery thing and usually get things the next day and haven’t noticed anything different recently and have placed quite a few orders.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yes I stupidly should have chosen click and collect but hurriedly placed the order and wasn’t sure if the deals would be different instore or if the order would be dispatched any more quickly to a nearby store! It seems they’ve overwhelmed themselves with Black Friday but they should be straight with their customers ‘goods will take up to 16 days to arrive during this busy period’ would suffice BEFORE the customer finalises their purchase.

I don’t shop there enough to use their delivery deal and having dealt with the arsey customer service agent, I won’t be spending my money there again in a hurry!

Shame as their instore service is decent. But again, retailers, please don’t use Royal Mail if you want to keep your customers!

This happened in October when they had their 25% off thing. I ordered things to take on holiday and they arrived once I’d left the country… it always seems like such a shock to them that they have a higher number of orders than normal when they heavily discount everything.

I placed an order on 30th November as it’s still not here - almost two weeks!

Oh no @NoMoreFalafelForYou . Mine did arrive. It wasn’t the additional 6-8 day wait so the Royal Mail notification sent me into panic mode. I did get the parcel too late for the early Christmas party sadly. You should chase them…

The silly thing is I have a Space NK within walking distance! 🤦‍♀️ 🤣
