Voucher for a Manchester restaurant

Thanks for looking at my hella specific thread. My nephew is studying in Manchester. Obviously I could do a standard chain restaurant voucher, but I just wondered if there's a gig venue or independent restaurant that's a bit more 'Manchester student' that would be good to arrange a voucher for?

I don't know how student-y it is, or how generous you're feeling, but Kala is offering £40 for a voucher that gets you £60 in Jan/early Feb: https://shop.elitebistros.com/shop/pay-40-get-60-to-spend-in-jan

Pay £40, get £60 to spend in Jan! - Elite Bistros

Albert Schloss might be a good one.

Rudys Pizza? A few across the city and lovely!

The Blues Kitchen, Quay Street. Food, cocktails, live music - great place

I wouldn't. Loads go bust just after Christmas- my children have been given at least 4 vouchers over the years for businesses that folded
Cash is king

Kala is amazing but it's not studenty at all.
Obviously no reason why students can't go there.

Thank you all! I've gone for Albert Schloss as I think it looks fun, and am crossing my fingers they stay open!

Six by nico is fun. There's two in Manchester. It's fine dining style on a budget. Really interesting concept and not at all stuffy.

It'd be a massive shock if Albert's Schloss went - I think you'll be absolutely fine!

That's a very good choice

Albert Schloss is a solid choice and. I think will be stable too. Always very busy.
