Hobbycraft for me. I ordered a jigsaw for a family member. Royal mail screwed up. I had a very quick response from Hobbycraft. Complained to RM. Still waiting. My heart sinks when I order something and realise it's being delivered by them.
Hobbycraft have been in constant contact. Delivered another one.

Who have you found to be good or great?

I never have a problem with Amazon usually. I tend to pick up from a local shop though.

Dyson. WhatsApp service. Always on the ball.

Yes I contacted them recently and they were very good and very polite. No annoying overfamiliarity or overly casual responses! Issue resolved. Their delivery is also very quick. I contacted them in the past as a new filter weren't working in an out of warranty Dyson fan and they sent me a new fan!!! I suspect that was due to a known fault but nevertheless they made it very easy.

I find Amazon customer services are also very good, once you get through the 25 clicks to get to their contact us pages!

Bit niche but also recently had snacks service from Babyblooms. We purchased a personalised very large toy from them. Their lead time is 5 working days from purchase. When I bought I asked if there was any possibility of getting it sooner as the birthday was very close (not expecting they could ti anything), and the item delivered within 2 days! It's also perfect and had been beautifully gift wrapped! Excellent service!

CrazyAndSagittarius · 06/12/2024 23:15

*excellent. Not snacks!!!!

tunainatin · 06/12/2024 23:20

Cex are always great - helpful, knowledgeable staff.

Wooosh · 07/12/2024 06:14

Monica Vinader - Customer Care team is amazing. They resolve everything without hesitation.

Purplecatshopaholic · 07/12/2024 11:47

Agree re Next. A pleasure to buy from. My local Evri driver is a total star (appreciate that’s not always the case!) Was pleasantly surprised re CEX recently, really good service. My local Timpsons staff are beyond fab too.
I used to buy a lot from All Saints as I like the vibe of their pieces, but their Customer Service was bloody awful recently, so having a rethink, lol.

Crushed23 · 07/12/2024 13:09

Most of them, but I live in the US where customer service is generally better.

LaPalmaLlama · 07/12/2024 15:30

Right, I have to take back what I said about Frasers, as is only fair. They have refunded (courier lost parcel) and given me a discount code, so I'm no longer hating on them!

Whenwherewhy · 07/12/2024 15:57

I have Boden to be excellent at customer service on more than one occasion.

The very worst customer service I have ever had is from Sezanne - will never buy from them again.

XelaM · 07/12/2024 16:08

Amazon always good 👍

Sky and Homebase always terrible 😣

XelaM · 07/12/2024 16:12

A special mention to Ganwick Farm shop in North London where I had absolutely excellent customer service today and they gave out delicious free mulled wine 🍷 minced pies and chocolates 🍫. Will definitely be back with more purchases 😃

BoooHiss · 07/12/2024 16:14

Bravissimo - had a fantastic fitting in store this week for a nursing bra, really knowledgable, efficient, put me at ease and I left with a bra that made me feel great. I never usually shop there but it was so good they’ve got a customer for life.

Hoppinggreen · 07/12/2024 16:18

Bettys (if you are from Yorkshire you will know).
The website was not cooperating and I used the live chat, someone responded immediately and when they couldn't resolve it someone phoned me within 5 minutes and took my order over the phone and gave me free delivery to apologise for the inconvenience

Cex are fabulous. Such helpful staff and I love their checking process and guarantees.

Kelvingrove · 07/12/2024 16:34

Halfords. The staff are very helpful and competent.

SnowJamz · 07/12/2024 17:34

Next, Amazon, Bravissimo and Boden. Always helpful when I have rang them and they seem to actually value their customers and try to resolve things to your satisfaction rather than giving the run around.

LushLemonTart · 07/12/2024 21:40

Thanks everyone.

Is Homebase still going?

Boden and Amazon.

marthaisintheway · 07/12/2024 21:50

Heyshape online service. I ordered the wrong size so emailed them to ask if could return and swap. They sent me a replacement and told me to keep the original. All very friendly and efficient.

marmitegirl01 · 07/12/2024 22:14

Samsung. I called as hoover stopped working. They immediately arranged courier to collect and offered a £30 voucher to compensate for my inconvenience. Hoover was collected fixed and returned within a week.
Also Dyson - quick replacement sent no questions asked after they'd assessed problem with hairdryer.
Both excellent and I've recommended so much to others.

u3ername · 07/12/2024 22:18

Many years ago Apple changed my MacBook's battery for free even though my guarantee had ran out. I have a feeling they wouldn't do it now though...

JL always make me feel valued. Have been straightforward with product replacement if issues.
Blinds2go - very prompt and helpful. I didn't even had to contact them, just left a review with my issue and they were in touch and sorting things.
Amazon - very easy to deal with.

Next weren't that good for me the one time I had an issue (furniture).
Curry's/ PC World - very bad personal experience.

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 07/12/2024 22:22

Another vote for Samsung. Really prompt communication and very accountable.

DanielaDressen · 07/12/2024 22:24

Ocado. I had a massive food delivery recently and then they emailed to say my money hadn’t gone through which I obviously thought was a scam. I checked the website for a message which they said would appear and couldn’t find a message so i ignored it, and ignored the next few emails. Then got another email saying they’d sadly have to never allow me to order from them. I emailed them in a panic. They rang the house phone, Dd answered, assumed they were scammers and told them to bugger off. 🙈. They were very understanding when i eventually got hold of them.

Jedstre · 07/12/2024 22:50

Brilliant service from the complaints department this week at John Lewis. The staff I spoke to prior to complaining were useless but the guy from complaints who contacted me more than made up for it.

Great service from The White Company. Refunded, no questions asked, when I emailed them.

Amazon always brilliant

Soak and Sleep have been awful. Going round in circles with them about some crap pillows. The latest email was suggesting I spent £90 on another pillow. I don’t think so!

Crikeyalmighty · 07/12/2024 23:05

@Kelvingrove my H comments how they have always tried to 'fit him in' at short notice and actually been pretty decent - you can also 'pay in 3'
