Gifts for 22 year old DD

I have two adult DC, DS 20 and DD 22. When they were younger I cared about them having an equal amount to open now I care more about spending the same on them both (I know it doesn't really matter and cost is irrelevant but this is for my sake rather than there's).
DS asked for a couple of bits that have added up to about £300, tennis racket, AirPods etc. I've been saving all year so it's a non issue.
DD is older and is either able to buy stuff for herself or already has it so her list was smaller.
She asked for a Pink Le Creuset mug, which I got, a pink Stanley cup, pink keep cup cold cup thing and an electric toothbrush. I've spent about £120 on that stuff and I have no idea what else to get her. She doesn't need any tech, recently spent about £100 on new slippers for herself, specifically said she doesn't need clothes.

My ideas

  • Hand Cream (L'Occitane or Body Shop maybe?)
  • Lip Balm (She really likes the Le Labo one and the Elizabeth Arden one)
  • Vogue Subscription

Added up that's maybe £60-65.

What else do I get her and what do I suggest to family?!

I know I could just spend less on DD than DA but that doesn't sit right with me.

Her hobbies are

  • Tennis (She just bought herself new custom rackets so nothing needed for this)
  • F1
  • Travelling

She likes Taylor Swift/Noah Kahan/Gracie Abram's music

Not big into reading really but does enjoy collectors editions of classics

All the general gifts like hot water bottles and cashmere gloves/socks she already has in abundance

Throw ideas my way!

Noise cancelling headphones? My dd is the same age and uses her ones all the time. She had a pair from John Lewis last year which were about £100 from memory.

F1 tickets (silverstone is usually July)

Anotherworrier · 06/12/2024 17:17

Kindly, I think the presents you’ve thought of sound pretty rubbish (sorry!)

What about..
Skin care
Tickets - theatre/music/comedian
A night away somewhere (does she have a partner)
Levi jeans (or did she say she didn’t want clothes)
Shoes/trainers
Nice make up
Perfume
Watch
Gym bag

Would she really want a magazine subscription, does she not just read mags on her phone? I’d sub the hand cream for face cream.

I'm pretty sure her dad is taking her to Monaco for F1 this year.
She gets all conflicted around silverstone as it's usually the same weekend as the middle weekend of Wimbledon?

Ha I've always wanted to go to silverstone but RIAT has always trumped it! Monaco though 😍

She likes the hand creams so it's not all bad!

She does collect the actual versions of vogue I don't know if she reads them but she just moved into her first place and has about 5 years of the magazines on a bookcase.

I wouldn't feel confident getting her make up as she's really picky about what she wears.

A spa weekend with her boyfriend might be a nice idea but that might mean I need to spend more on DS to even it back out.

@shlapalopalop ah ok! I take it back that actually sounds thoughtful. Are they vintage vogue though or newer?

There are ‘experience gift cards’ you can buy, she could top up if she wanted to make a night of it?

Wowcher have good deals on nights away sometimes? As do groupon.

Sofaroller · 06/12/2024 17:38

If she really likes Vogue what about the issue from the day she was born and getting it nicely framed? I have some vintage magazines and they look great

TheSecondMrsCampbellBlack · 06/12/2024 17:40

A Vogue subscription?

mitogoshigg · 06/12/2024 17:41

Please don't buy hand cream unless she specifically uses it, they are the most regifted item at the summer fair by a long while. A makeover appointment at her favourite brand and a gift voucher for new products? I've bought my similar aged dd benefit products as I know what she uses and a cashmere sweater

mitogoshigg · 06/12/2024 17:43

Possibly look on group on or similar, I've seen one night spa breaks for your budget

Dash0Cal · 06/12/2024 17:43

F1 driving experience?

wintersgold · 06/12/2024 17:55

If she likes Le Labo you could get her a (matching) fragrance & shower gel as well as the lip balm

Daisy62 · 06/12/2024 18:46

Does she have to have more stuff right now if she doesn’t need it? One of my young adult kids often doesn’t want anything and asks if they can wait until they do - sometimes that means they stockpile a birthday and Christmas and then get something they really want/need.

AelinAG · 06/12/2024 18:48

The Taylor swift eras tour book?
