I am nearly done but still have a few hard to buy for people and I have had some great suggestions on here before so hoping for similar this year!

  1. Couple, late 40s, budget probably around £20. Possibly thinking board game or similar?
  2. Female friend, early 50s, not into make up jewellery toiletries candles etc, bit of a foodie - also around £20
  3. Male sort-of BIL, early 50s. Into politics, current affairs, travels a lot for work.
Hit me with your best ideas. Or in fact any ideas.

Cards against humanity for the couple unless they're very conservative?

Some treats from Delli website?

A copy of the bedside guardian from the guardian bookshop?

Actually, having second thoughts on my suggestion for cards against humanity!

  1. A new pair of secateurs, if they have a garden.
  2. A selection of Asian dipping sauces from an Asian supermarket (inexpensive but shows thought) in a gift box.
  3. A subscription to Private Eye or Economist / Spectator according to his leaning.

I've no suggestions for the first two OP, but an ex of mine exactly matched your BIL spec. I got him a subscription for Delayed Gratification magazine and he absolutely loved it.

I was also thinking of Private Eye!

Genius Star puzzle game?

Cards against humanity probably not suitable but thanks for the idea, I have got them a fun card game they can play with their kids.
