Christmas Food

I'm determined this year to not go overboard with the food as there's only 4 of us at home so it's unnecessary.

We are having Christmas lunch elsewhere so don't need to factor that into my meal plan.

I still want lots of delicious food and for things to feel a bit special on Christmas Eve and for the couple of days after Christmas Day.

What meals are you planning? I'll be raiding the M&S cheese section but otherwise really need some inspiration!

I've got three of us for Christmas day and another two arriving on Boxing day, so will be cooking the usual groaner of a Christmas dinner and having it cold on Boxing day augmented with everything I can think of.

So there's baked Camembert with home made (although not by me) foccacia, home made mince pies, hot roast potatoes and pigs in blankets, salad with all the bits (spring onion, baby tomatoes, lots of hoummus, cucumber, croutons), olives, as many types of cheeses as I can lay my hands on, posh crisps, different types of crackers (biscuitty ones, not bang ones), nut roast, vats of gravy, brandy butter, profiteroles, lemon slice, pavlova, fresh fruit, etc.

I will be sending all participants home with a tupperware box of left overs as I don't want to be left with it all after Boxing Day!

I will be making a tear and share brie and cranberry bread to enjoy over the festivities.
We will also have something involving king prawns
