Niche gift for an aeroplane fan

I'm buying a gift for my nephew.
Age 13, autistic, obsessed with planes. Likes building models of them but i wouldn't know which ones he has-
There is a specific brand he likes but i'm not sure which
Can anyone think of a thoughtful gift for him

We got DS name inscribed on the bottom of a bomb bay on a Vulcan jet which he loved

Maybe a poster calendar with various planes or just one unique model and interesting facts about it? If asking his parents for more details is possible, I'd suggest you do that. Maybe he already has a favorite plane and you can make your gift around it.

How much are you willing to spend? Flying lessons start at about £100.

Would he enjoy one of the Haynes manuals? They have them for spitfires and (I think) Vulcans, possibly others too. I gave one to a friend who loved it.

Is airfix the brand? You could possibly risk a kit if it’s one that is a group, as it would just add to it? Like this?

I have a friend whose DS is plane obsessed and wants to be a pilot. For his birthday they took him to a flight simulator experience.

What region are you? We've been to many aircraft related places! I might know somewhere... we spend many a summer weekend watching planes, visiting planes and dh will be working on a restoration project soon.

If you can get to Bristol there's a British aerospace museum and you can go on concorde ( on the ground)

He is based in High Wycombe so will look i to where is suitable to take him near-by. A flight simulator definitely sounds cool

Perhaps one day you he can visit the worlds biggest aviation megastore. It's near Schipol Airport in Amsterdam and is incredible. I'm not a plane fan and it just blows me away (my kids love it there)

I think they do online orders and as well as every size (and cost!) of model planes they have extraordinary airline related 'stuff' for aviation fanatics

I had a packet of Vulcan XH558 rivets gifted and my name on it, last Christmas. I was a Vulcan groupie as it used to pass overhead most weekends.

If others could chip in, the Flying Jackets are amazing. Lots of other choices though.
