Surely Most adults buy what they want so are similair. That doesn't necessarily make someone hard to buy for and she's given you ideas of her interests.

Based on what you have said and your uncertainty I think I'd try one of the glossy style / surprise beauty boxes - it will appeal to the "girlie" side she's referenced but also have an element of surprise and likelihood to contain some new things she wouldn't have otherwise tried

Second this! It also comes with the perk of being able to say, 'oh that's a shame it had X bits in it, I thought it would have more of the brands you like' if she mentions she doesn't like it, without having to disclose you may have brought the same items 😂

Can you still buy a make up class with MAC etc in John Lewis? I'm sure you used to be able to, and the you then were able to choose make up to the cost of the ticket?

Not sure if they still exist, or what the cost is, but could be a good shout for a girly girl (I'd love it, if you'd like to buy it for me Grin)

I’d get her something that you know she likes, but an upgraded version.

So, say you’ve seen her burning a candle. With your budget, you could buy Diptyque or Jo Malone or similar.

If she likes chocolates, you could get some charbonnel et walker or Godiva or similar.

If you’re confident of her size, merino wool jumpers in M&S are lovely and under £50.

People say this about me too, which I’m surprised at as well, I just like things! Anyway, some suggestions:

Summer Fridays lip balm and/or jet lag mask
Aromatherapy associates bath oil gift set
Anna and Nina mug
Candle from Anthropologie
Nuxe gift set of some kind, with your budget perhaps the hair treatment and body oil.
Daylesford living book
Chanel couture & industry book
Some nice serving ware from Oliver Bonas- I’d love the marble serving spoons but can’t justify it
Dior glow lip balm
Diptyque candle
Bamford hand/body wash
Byredo body wash
ysl or Chanel lipstick
a collection of minis from Sephora or space nk, like mini hourglass blusher etc.

There’s some random ideas for you! Sort of want to send this list to my husband…

Aesop hand wash and hand cream from Space NK. It's on offer, you get a gift box. Always looks impressive.

BeaLola · 02/12/2024 19:48

Lisa Eldridge refillable lipstick that has recently launched

Chanel compact mirror

Aromatherapy Associates selection of bath oils - I think they have 30% off but it may end today

Neom mini pod - can take anywhere or just leave at home

Spacemasks

Aesop handwash

If she has an animal and you can get hold of a decent photo there are some excellent artists on Etsy who can paint or draw a beautiful picture. Doesn't have to be a dog or cat I have seen some for rabbits, rats, hamsters....

Thanks , some good ideas here
unfortunatey upgrading is out of budget , and she is already using Elemis / Gatineau levels

a beauty box is a good shout or possibly a makeup lesson

she doesn’t use candles and no
pets

thanks a good few ideas to think about
