I have 3 teen DD’s spending around £300 each bar the eldest (very unusual for us but needed something bigger for Uni)

Eldest obviously sorted. Youngest never a problem to buy for a has a lovely pile of presents to wake up too but middle DD I don’t have a clue.

She has given us a few ideas but they are all little/smaller things, obviously we will buy them but would like her to have something exciting.

Share with me your teenage DD’s lists/presents.

DD is very sporty and academic but not particularly sociable, loves music/drama/stagey stuff, makeup, clothes. tech, her own space.

Not really into skin care, a very practical no fluff kind of girl and really not a fan of unwanted things but obviously she needs a lovely pile of presents just like her sisters.

Help.

I went to TK Maxx with DS yesterday for Christmas shopping.

They had loads of nice stuff, he bought a weekend bag and a make up bag for his GF and some ear muffs, they just went away to Christmas Markets in Germany and her bag wasn’t great and she got cold ears. He got fluffy socks for his hopefully future MIL. I bought some make up sponges, cashmere socks and make up brushes. He also bought me a make up bag and got me to choose one.

Badminton tickets for the 3 of us (two horses girls) were my first thought as we say we will take them every year and it never materialises but then I realised I’d have to sell limbs to fund them!!

Hoof picks are like hair bobbles round here, they are everywhere! 😅

I don't think they're that expensive if you just go for the XC

These are the kind of things that are my go to, but we do seem to have most of them covered. We did the posh rug last year and she had a lesson with Alex Braag for her birthday, I might re look at this though.

I did over her a new fixed peak with a bit more sparkle than her current one but she is insistent she doesn’t need a new hat and likes her old one..

Her sister (my other horsey one) was in absolute shock that she would turn this down!! 😅

Ros Canter would be an amazing one to have a lesson with I feel!

DD is 17 and her list is very small.

I think on it are:

1 book
new headphones
2 sets of small silver jeweller
a voucher for a new lobe piercing
a Taylor Swift cardigan
calendar
laptop sleeve

She is asking for some Lego flowers from her grandparents.

Honestly - if they can't think of anything then do respect it. We did more on her 16th birthday and last Christmas because something came up which was fitting.

The only thing I could come up with was an annual membership for something local but she leaves for uni next September and with A-Levels she won't have the time to go that frequently.

She does drama for A-level but the course work is quite non-traditional and she preferes watching different pieces for leisure.

16yo DD also very sporty has asked for ankle/wrist weights, yoga mat, gym shark & sweaty Betty clothes, costa voucher, specific skincare she uses & money towards festival tickets next year

Scratch off musicals poster - my dd loves hers

Jellycoconut · 04/12/2024 08:53

If she doesn't want much, why give her things she may not be keen on? Just get her the one or two things she has suggested then give her some cash
