Going away for Christmas - ideas and recommendations please

Too late for this year, I know, but I have decided to go away for Christmas 2025 and will be looking to book in the dark days of January.

Somewhere hot and preferably where they don't celebrate so I can truly escape. Any suggestions or recommendations appreciated.

Marrakesh. Fabulous at Christmas, because they ignore the whole thing. Warm, sunny days - but chilly in the evenings. You can also get out to the Atlas Mountains, which are great.

I know that it doesn't tick the box about not celebrating Christmas, but Barbados is a popular Christmas destination.

Egypt. The Baron Palace is a very good 5 star all inclusive
