What sweet treats do you like on a Christmas buffet?

We're mixing it up this year and having a buffet on Christmas day instead of spending most the day in the kitchen cooking.

What sweet bits would you like to see on a buffet?

Mince pies. Stollen slices. Lebkuchen

Homemade mince pies. Definitely not shop bought ones.

Chocolate-dipped strawberries
Turkish delight
Florentines
Yule log

Trifle!

Candied nuts
Medjool dates
Cheese straws or equivalent puffy pastry/cheese nibbles!
Stilton, cream cheese and crackers

Waitrose Speculaas cookies (marzipany - not like Biscoff).
Oh wait I can't have them because they stopped selling them!

Florentines

I like to have snowballs, Christmas bark, mini Yule logs and then something show-stopper esque like a croquenmbouch or lovely decorated Christmas cake In the centre

Fruit. It cuts through the heaviness of the stodge. Even some grapes or satsumas.

My choices would be a Yule Log with fresh cream filling and chocolate buttercream icing, and lots of nice fruit including melon, mango etc (not very seasonal but delicious and light!)

Mince pies, Christmas cake ... but I prefer savoury and would prefer a proper dinner but in lieu of that roast a shoulder of port and do hot pork rolls with apple sauce (not a turkey fan and pork shoulder is super forgiving meat if being kept warm in a slow cooker)

And a massive cheeseboard with dates, walnuts, frozen grapes, apple jelly & chutney

Another one for fruit - clementines, grapes, satsumas, apples, ripe pears and plums. And good cheese.

Sherry trifle a pavlova with berries and cream home made mince pies Christmas pudding with brandy cream. Christmas cake with some fruit eg grapes and some good cheese such as Snowdonia Black Bomber

Same for some fruity bits here!

I like making chocolate salami sometimes! Lots of recipes around, it’s basically chocolate biscuit cake but looks cute! I like to add pistachios for the colour.
