What are you getting your partner who had everything?

Every year I struggle to buy for DP because he's not somebody who particularly wants for anything and anything he does need/ want he buys himself.

So far I've got him

bonsai Lego tree set
New belt
Cook book
A few of his favourite t shirts
Calvin Klein boxers

What are you getting your partner if they are somebody who has everything?!

Title should say "has" not "had" 🤦🏻‍♀️

I struggle with mine too!

This year I got him a small portable phone charger, h own one but it’s pretty cumbersome and he always brings it out with us but then ends up asking to put it in my bag.
Got him theatre tickets to a show he mentioned a while back he’d like to see.
He bought me a cute personalised mug ft a pic of me and our cat last year and I’ve got him an identical one but with him and the cat, so we can have matching mugs!
Also a new flat cap as he got one a couple of years ago and loves it, always says he’d like another but has never bought one.

I have got my DH

A band tshirt of one his favourite bands
The peppermint bark in a tin from M&S
A Patagonia fleece
The Peep Show Monopoly board
JLB Credit mug (Peep Show fan)
Fancy new mokka pot and a couple of different new ground coffees to try

I have also bought is a family Velvetiser and Oodie Blanket as they are things he has been talking about for a while but can all use.

GettingStuffed · 25/11/2024 20:55

So far my DH has a bottle of beer and a bottle of jerk seasoning.

He ignores any requests that he tells me what he wants . He's fussy and will tell me if I get it wrong.

I’ve bought him a leather jacket the same as wolverine wears in the xmen films.

Lego x-mansion

oodie

bottle of grey goose

adventure time pop vinyls

a few model soldier kits

full set of marvel Lego minifigures series 2

its his birthday on Christmas Day too so I’ll wrap some in birthday paper

I’ve now moved on to experiences for him, although I’m starting to run out of ideas now (at least ones that won’t require me to remortgage the house!)

Done glass blowing, knife forging, butchery and sushi courses as well as a few restaurant one-off nights so far (he’s a big foodie).

Book a holiday as a gift?

Megathon · 25/11/2024 22:36

I've got him a coat and some cards he collects, he honestly doesn't really want anything so I don't stress about it!

Very good EDT. Books. T shirts. Cashmere pullover. Subscription to a magazine. Cashmere scarf. It will be some, but not all of these.

Moonlightstars · 25/11/2024 22:47

We only get each other one thing. It seems silly to get more as we have everything we need.

Samandytimlucypeterolivia · 25/11/2024 22:48

DP literally buys what he wants when he wants, he basically leaves the clothes to me as he’s colour blind so prefers me to choose for him. He gives me rough outlines on colour he wants etc but I do the rest.
this year I’ve got him

a chip and dale mug
a book he asked for
pack of colourful adidas socks
3 adidas tshirts
a grey adidas tracksuit
lush bath bombs
hotel chocolat chocs

he loves anything tbh so it’s not really that hard

HawkersSouth · 25/11/2024 22:57

Haven't bought anything yet but I'm getting him...
-fancy apron (he's a chef so I get him a fancy one each year)
-fancy chef knife (as above)

  • tool box (we just brought a house this year, his tools are in random boxes)
-socks/boxers/chocolates/scratch cards for his xmas stocking -PS5 gift card I know he'll use everything I get.
wotsitallfor · 25/11/2024 22:59

My DH has asked for, what he calls, an earwax jet wash. Who's says romance is dead.

AndThereSheGoes · 25/11/2024 23:27

Mine also has a late December birthday. 😬

Bday - bust from an antique shop he saw in the summer ( on holiday)

Christmas - air fryer and a AI generated book about himself.
Plus a fun stocking with a mug from fave team, permanent marker for work, honeycomb "coal" , can of Christmas pudding ale, mince pie fudge ( he's obsessed with mince pies) and a dehumidifier bag for the car (thanks to a thread on here),

sansou · 26/11/2024 14:03

Literally just bought a pair of VIP Gig tickets for next summer. Also a bottle of expensive whiskey (he's a bit of a connoisseur!) so he has something to actually open and enjoy on the day.
