Ideas for a couple new to the country?

A colleague and now amazing friend recently moved to England from the other side of the world with her husband and son. I have got a few small bits for the little boy but I really want to get my colleague and her husband something for Christmas that is practical and useful. They started fresh over here and have been in the country since spring and have all the basics but no luxuries yet.
I want to get them something they will love and make use of as they are such lovely people and it will be just the three of them on Christmas day and due to the move money is tight at the moment and they will only have the gifts they are able to get each other to open on Christmas day.
Does anyone have any ideas please? Budget around £25-30.

Invite them for a meal over Christmas.

Christmas decorations for their tree (or a small tree).

Oh this was me once!

A hamper of English essentials so she’s on the same page when people discuss them. Triangular tea bags. Haribos. Whatever party rings are.

Or a nice house plant.

I was going to say small potted tree the ones with roots - we bought one from Tescos about 5 years ago for about £15 and we have repotted it - it's now about 5ft 7" and each Christmas we put battery lights and decorations on it (B&M or Home Bargains pack of one coloured bauble about £4) - looks so pretty

I was going to say nice little hamper of British food. When we moved abroad, our new friends bought us a Christmas goodie bag with some local food and wine in it. It really gave us pointers for things to try and it was so thoughtful. Years later, I still have the tin from the biscuits they gave us.
