Good alternative to Trivial Pursuit?

Our family love quizzes, but the Trivial Pursuit we have is old and the reviews for the newer versions aren't that good. Does anyone have any alternative suggestions for a good quiz boardgame?

Following with interest. I'm going to get rumikub and The Chase boardgame but on the look out for others too.

Outsmarted is absolutely fantastic

Yes outsmarted is very similar to trivial pursuit but loads more categories and questions are based on whether the player is a child, teenager or adult. You do need a smartphone or tablet though (you don't need one per player unless you have people joining you remotely)
