Any suggestions on fun or useful Christmas presents for a 9yr old football-mad boy?
He’s got kit and footballs but not much else. Looking for main presents and smaller stocking fillers.
Thanks 🥰

My brother asked for nets to take to the playing fields every year for about 5 years.

Sounds like DS!

-keyring for his team
-football print oodie type robe
-football magazine annuals (strike, match etc)
-panini PL cards starter pack, tins, cards
-personalised boot bag

Duvet cover - you can get team ones but if that is too expensive or he doesn’t have one team there are plenty more general.

DS2 recently had a birthday and got a Shoot 24 Days of Football advent calendar. There’s a mini-book behind each door - player profiles, trivia, puzzles, games etc. Should be okay for a 9 year old (DS2 is 18 😁 but his older brother was eyeing it up too).

Oh and a sort of game called Can You Kick It? It’s got two small inflatable footballs and cards with different activities to do. It was £5 from Morrisons.

Rebounder net. Or goals for the garden. Boot buddy. Boot bag. New football boots. Grip socks.

Football superstar books or ultimate football heroes.

We also have a football mad 9 year old and he really wants these. I’d like us you have around 20 footballs in your garden then a football ball bag too

Mine is after a rebounder net thing.

Two football mad DC here. In that lockdown we had over Christmas, they were really struggling as it was dark evenings and they couldn't go out & play football. So, for that Christmas, I got them a light up football of Amazon, a beanie with a light in it and battery powered solar lights to string around the goal. Best Christmas present ever! The light up football only lasts so long so they have had a new one every Christmas. The fact they are out there every day for an hour or so does destroy the lawn but their health & happiness is more important than that.

Goals, boots, gk gloves, grip socks, annual for his fave team, match attax cards, hat, retro Jersey.

Mishmashs · 24/11/2024 07:27

I’ve got a footie mad just turned 10 year old. He is HUGELY into the ultimate football heroes series. They are biographies of players and not badly written. There are dozens and dozens of them!

For his Xmas I’m thinking about rebounder net thing and also table football if I can find a decent one that is also compact. For his birthday he got the brainbox football game, and I have seen football based board games he might like.

AreYouShittingMe · 24/11/2024 07:32

Not sure if it's still a 'thing' but you used to be able to personalise a Match Attack card, with a photo and player stats. Mine loved them at that age.
And another vote for the rebounder net- ours still used 10 years later...
