Will any supermarkets have whole fresh turkeys today?

I'm cooking a (very early!) Christmas dinner on Sunday. Am assuming I'll have to buy a frozen turkey but then wondered if any supermarkets might have fresh in seeing as its near thanksgiving?

I've never seen one in a supermarket around thanksgiving (and I used to work in one!) - you probably would have been better off ordering via a butcher etc but likely they won't have any fresh in now. Always worth a try!

Be careful if you do buy a frozen one - it normally takes 3-4 days to defrost properly depending on size IIRC - you might be better off with a joint.

@LittleRedRidingHoody was a bit worried about getting a frozen one but Asda had some fresh turkey crowns so problem solved! 😅
