Marzipan fruits and orange and lemon jelly slices

Has anyone seen either of the above recently? I’ve been unable to find them so far this year, and I don’t want to pay over inflated prices online. I usually get them at Sainsbury’s, but they don’t have either in yet. I just want the basic inexpensive packs.

Thanks

I saw marzipan fruits in Lidl this week

Autumnweddingguest · 21/11/2024 23:02

M&S have marzipan fruits. Not seen the lemon slices anywhere

princessbear80 · 21/11/2024 23:03

B&M had the orange and lemon slices a few weeks ago.

Yes, I bought some today!

greyedout · 21/11/2024 23:14

Thank you all. My mum has been on the hunt for me while shopping at various supermarkets too and has also been unsuccessful!

I checked in B&M and no luck in ours, although the jelly slices are showing on the website.

We haven’t tried M&S, so I will try there next.

Lidl have huge boxes of fruit jellies and their marzipan deluxe treats are divine

@greyedout

It looks as though Notcutt's Garden Centres have them; there might be one in your area.

Thank you. I still haven’t got any as they are so overpriced on Amazon. £5 for the jelly slices which are £1/£2 max in shops and the marzipan fruits are £16 - they’re half the price of that in places like John Lewis! I’m limited in the shops that I can get to though.

I keep checking in my local supermarket but nothing this year!

I saw the jelly slices cheap in one of the pound type shops online but that needs a minimum spend of £20/£25 but I don’t want anything else from there!

Don't Iceland usually have them?

verysmellyjelly · 06/12/2024 16:23

Grape Tree and Poundland both had orange and lemon slices in today!

purplemom03 · 06/12/2024 16:42

I've caved and bought the ones from Amazon - the cheap ones are just not the same as these at all! These are the proper, thick ones (and have the orange circle one in the centre - unlike other cheap packs that they hid the fact there wasn't one under the packaging). They are so good!

It's harder and harder to find the traditional orange and lemon slices. Sunvale and Frampol (or possibly Farmpol) were the 2 brands I always search for - can only find the Sunvale this year, and the cheapest place in stock is Amazon.

I didn’t realise that - fancy not having the middle one 😱 Did you get the sun vale ones?

Thanks for the suggestions all.

Thanks. I don’t think we have one near here and online delivery is £6.69!

But they do them in there

Don't bother with amazon I got some from there last year and they were all dry and horrible.

Lidl has some marzipan fruits. They are actually very easy to make, just need some food colouring to paint on.

OAPapparently · 07/12/2024 04:29

M&S have the marzipan fruits.
Iceland have the lemon and orange slices.

greyedout · 07/12/2024 07:51

Thanks. I went to our local M&S and they didn’t have them but it’s quite small. We don’t have a home bargains or Iceland, we have a b&m but that didn’t have them in. I can’t get to a Lidl easily.

Thanks for the Amazon warning. Reviews were hit and miss on there when I looked which is probably also part of why I didn’t want to pay the overinflated price.

The people who will be eating them aren’t fussy, but they would want the orange middle! I don’t think I’d fool them with my culinary skills though!
