Was thinking of inviting a bunch of Ds' friends after school for a xmas thing. However, totally stuck as to what to do with them. With DD I usually did crafts and baking but Ds' friends are quite lively and not into crafts as a group. If you hass to entertain five 6 year olds in quite a small house, what seasonal activities would you do?

If not staying for dinner I would start with a hot chocolate station. I would clear your living room as much as possible and do some traditional party games put make them Christmas themed. Pin the tail on donkey but instead put santa in his sleigh on the roof, musical dancing elves and ask DS in advance to choose games he may play in beavers or similar.

Depending how much of the house you want them to go in you could do a timed scavenger hunt. Hide loads of little toys/chocolates/sweets (you could even wrap them) around the house and give every child 5 minutes to find as much as they can and then it’s the next child’s turn. You would probably need to have extra gifts on hand to hide if the children are finding things quickly though.

Do you have a garden?
we did a party in December for DS birthday (9 I think)…played games outside and they loved it.
highlight was Spotlight Sam…basically hide and seek but seeker has a powerful torch to look with. They loved it and also bonus of burning off some energy!
then inside for hot choc or homemade pizzas.
