Gifts to Canada

Hello
My son and DIL live in Canada - this is their second Xmas there. I have arranged to send a chocolate and crisp hamper via the British Hamper Co and am now trying to put together a small box of gifts that I can send via the post office.
So far I’ve got
Heat retaining socks 😂
Any other ideas? I don’t think I can send make up or toiletries - I’m finding it difficult to understand what the import rules are so any help would be really appreciated.

I have family in Canada, and usually send a box of UK goodies, such as the chocolate and crisps in your hamper. They're also quite fond of speciality tea bags, like the Yorkshire tea caramelised biscuit ones, or some other nice hot drinks. Generally woolly goods are always popular!

Are you aware that there's a postal strike there at the moment though? I'm not sure how long it's going to last, but they had one a few years ago and it went on for ages - even when it ended, there was a lot of backlog to clear. I'm now debating whether to send a parcel and just do an online voucher instead, I'm going to give it another week and see how things are.

No advice on posting restrictions, but get it sent ASAP. Canada post Just voted for strike action. Just in time for Christmas

Canada Post is notoriously slow with endless strikes. Get it sent in the next couple of days if you want it there for Christmas.

It used to take 2 weeks longer to get the 30 miles from Ottawa to my house than the 2500 miles from Birmingham to Ottawa.
