Who hasn’t started shopping yet?

OP posts:
Roystonv · 18/11/2024 07:04

Most men.

QuirkyandGreen · 18/11/2024 07:05

Me! I hit the shops/Internet around December 1st!

TeeNoG · 18/11/2024 07:07

Me. I'll do it in December.

ByMerryKoala · 18/11/2024 07:09

Me. I'm just going to sit with a glass of wine on Black Friday and have Christmas arrive in a box in the days that follow.

ScarletWitchM · 18/11/2024 07:11

Me! I’ll start in a few weeks probably

DappledThings · 18/11/2024 07:13

Me, but I don't have much to do anyway. DH sorts all his family, adults on my side don't do any presents and DH has started making lists and getting stuff for our DC and the nieces and nephews on my side too. He's much better at it/more invested in it than I am.

NoraLuka · 18/11/2024 07:14

Me. There’s ages until Christmas. I’ll keep thinking this until mid December, then around the 18th I might try going shopping and regret not starting earlier. Then it’ll end Supermarket Sweep style on Christmas Eve. It’s a bit stressful but I’m like this with everything, always have to wait until the deadline is almost up!

RhinestoneCowgirl · 18/11/2024 07:16

Me, but then I don't have too many people on my list. I did make an ideas list this weekend and DH has bought one of DD's presents.

QuickFetchTheCoffee · 18/11/2024 07:18

Me. Because I 'have to" buy for a bunch of picky people who won't tell me what they actually want until it's too late to get it shipped.

I try not to get to bothered by it but every year it stresses me out - until I start wrapping things which is a miracle cure!

Martymcfly24 · 18/11/2024 07:19

Me!
We do a Christmas savings club in my family where I save 40 euro a week so that's paying out early December so I'll do Santa presents and family presents one night online.

TheTigerWhoCameToEatMyArsehole · 18/11/2024 07:19

I used to leave it until around the week before Christmas. Since having kids I just can't leave it anymore and I start buying small stocking bits and stuff from October as and when they come on offer. I blame my partner I used to love the thrill of a panic buy a few days before Christmas but he didn't.

MiddleAgedDread · 18/11/2024 07:20

Me! Haven’t even thought about it and still I have 3 birthday presents and one I still owe from the summer to sort before Xmas!!

cheezncrackers · 18/11/2024 07:20

Me! Well, I have got a few things, but nowhere near what I need to get. I do wish Christmas was just about seeing people and having a nice meal together.

Manchesterbythesea · 18/11/2024 07:22

I’ve bought 2 presents. One for my mum and one of ds11’s. I don’t feel arsed this year. There’s loads of time!

rockingbird · 18/11/2024 07:23

Me sort of.. I have a list, bought some stocking fillers but the bulk of it will be done from November payday.

pinkchampagne1 · 18/11/2024 07:25

Me, and I really don’t know where to start as I have no idea what anyone wants. 😣

CollisionCourse · 18/11/2024 07:25

Me. DH and I have a day off together today though and will probably start.

I have no idea what to get the teen. And I'm desperately trying to think of something different for my dad but I'm 99% sure he's going to end up with another jumper 🤦‍♀️

Podcasts · 18/11/2024 07:28

Me, I bought one thing I happened to see but not properly started.

ErrolTheDragon · 18/11/2024 07:30

Of course not, it's November.
Not sure I will this year - my dd is grown up, she's going to BFs for Xmas but then here after for the new year, which includes my birthday. Last year I took her shopping for whatever she wanted - limited by what she could carry back on the train - I'll probably do the same this year.

This is me too. My side have always done minimal presents so I find more than 3-4 presents per DC is just too much. DH likes to see a mountain of presents so I let him crack on. I buy for him and a couple of presents for the DCs and nephews, generally in the week or so before Christmas, and that's it.

CandyStripedCookieJar · 18/11/2024 07:47

I was going to say me but then remembered I have something for the 🐈 🐈
I did ask the teens last night to send me a list as my brain isn't working this year

Icecreamenthusiast · 18/11/2024 08:42

I haven't - it's 18th November......?? (Caveat - I did buy dd some concert tickets a while ago which will be her main present but that is only because that's when they went on sale). I usually start in the first week of December 🤷‍♀️

Talipesmum · 18/11/2024 08:44

Me - only just had birthdays and one more to go in early December. It’ll be fine, it always is.

EveryDayisFriday · 18/11/2024 08:49

I'm waiting until black Friday and cyber Monday for the deals. I have everything in online baskets ready to go.

Caspianberg · 18/11/2024 08:52

Me. I don’t have much to get.
I only buy for my Ds and dh. And a niece and nephew.

I Will just order 99% online at the end of the month. Buy a few chocolates to add to stockings locally

Niece and nephew are toddlers - they will get a joint gift my brother has asked for. Il get it gift wrapped online and delivered to them (overseas)

Dh and Ds is just a few things. I know what I will get them, just going to wait until Black Friday as both items likely to reduce. I only buy Ds a few things and stocking is easy

We don’t go crazy food wise
