Has anyone seen anything similar to this but cheaper?

My 14 month old has been really drawn to playing with dolls houses and sylvanian families when we’ve been at friends/ nursery groups etc. I don’t want to spend a fortune as he may well have different tastes soon. Also as he’s so young I don’t want to get him anything he’d or with too many small parts. We also don’t have lots of space atm. I saw an ad for this and thought it looked perfect but it’s £225 which is a lot more than we’d want spend. Has anyone seen anything that could fit the bill? Max around £60?

The small Sylvanians cottage is less than £30 new and comes with furniture, little bits like plates and pans and food and one figure. If you bought that and one family he would have similar to what's pictured for less than £50.
There are always Sylvanians things for a fraction of that in local selling sites and vinted.

That sounds great but I think he might be too young for the little bits. He’s still quite prone to putting bits in his mouth!

I'd look at Playmobil 123 or Duplo.

Is the carry case important?

You want to look at the toylife carry along range. More suited for the age.

Castle

Farm

Or the playmobile dolls house

Playmobile

No, just that it can be packed away and not too big.

He’s got an ark with wooden figures which he ikes but he seems to prefer fabric/soft figures.

Sorry, they've renamed the Playmobil toddler set to Playmobil Junior. Although actually, it looks like that means the "123" branded stuff is all on clearance. I'm sure there would be something which is like a little house/everyday scene type thing.

They are really well designed - for example, the dumper truck which is also a shape sorter, and my 3 & 6yo still play with them, but they are chunky enough for toddler hands and not choking hazards.

Try eBay or Facebook marketplace, hopefully some people will be selling ready for new stuff coming in for Christmas

Happyland stuff is pretty good
And Playmobil junior
But I'd get Sylvanians and take out any of the little bits that might be swallowed.

Sostrene grene had the mini cases with mini dolls house furniture and bits and pieces to go inside so try there. They were cheap too and looked lovely
